Ah damn, sorry people want to see one of their favourite bands in their home country after travelling hours to even set foot in the country in the first place.
Dunno if they still do it but didnt Dirs management set up like a “package” specifically for overseas fans to get to Japan to see them not so long ago?
Not talking about music, just the rush of tourism since Shogun came out. Of course it makes sense to go to concerts. Yes Diru were the first band I think to do that.
Idk how Kaoru and DIE get along since Kaoru is a Tigers fan and Die is a Giants fan; guess it could be because they’re the two most popular teams in Japanese baseball that they can deal with the hate together, but let’s be real, who wants to suffer in the doldrums as a Dragons fan or a Carp fan. /s
Theyre work mates, they probably dont care which teams each other support. They probably have some friendly bants about it but i doubt it affects anything. Haha.
Mature adult relationships don’t revolve around schoolyard finger-pointing or ego-trips based on petty contrivances.
Just because one person likes a thing or has an opinion doesn’t mean that another person can’t like something else or have a differing opinion (within reason; some things are objectively wrong).
All the members of this band are clearly quite passionate about music and can connect on that level at least.
What goes on behind the scenes is really none of our business.
Perhaps those of us who are lost may be forgiven for misunderstanding. Due to the way the sentence is constructed, the sarcasm might be interpreted as only applying to the end of it, as shown below.
Framing with the interrogative “I don’t know how…” invites others to participate and present a hopefully helpful answer.
I’m not really sure what your message’s intention was or how it adds to the discourse if you don’t want it discussed. Sorry to be confused; humour is generally lost on me, and if this is that, well, I don’t get it.
My above post still stands as relevant despite my failure to engage with you as you would like.
It came across more as just a dumb comment. It hardly even reads like it was intended as sarcasm. If it was meant as a lighthearted joke then fine, but dont see how it was sarcasm at all. Haha.
I have read somewhere (a long time ago, in an interview from 2000’s) Shinya was considered by the other members of DEG like the strongest man of the band. It can help to do a strike or a spare.
tbh idk how Toshiya and Kaoru can be friends either because Kaoru likes “Siamese Dream” by the Smashing Pumpkins, but Toshiya likes “Machina” by the Smashing Pumpkins. At least they don’t like Zeitgeist. >>>>>>/s<<<<<<
I think it was said here a long time ago, but DEG were never a group of friends but more or less a (Dynamite Tommy’s) corporate group, wasn’t it so? No current records exist of them hanging out together (at least post-MOAB), especially for the likes of Kyo and Shinya as far as I know. So, it’s all being colleagues and that kind of business.
Not too long ago Shinya and Die shared a dressing room for a show and Shinya posted about it on instagram and it was a bit hilarious because it sounded like he had met someone he barely knew instead of that guy he has been working and touring with for 25 years.
