her stylist is one of the best there is in the vkei scene. I still remember how I liked it when she started again with makeup and her nun looks.

It’s just a joke, we all know Kyo is a man lol

But like how drag queens call each other “girl” and “sister” and other feminine terms when in-drag, calling Kyo feminine terms when he’s in drag (and yes, I DO consider a lot of his looks to be drag, just not traditional drag - I’m willing to go into this if people are curious) is just a turn of phrase, and often a term of endearment

that pink hair style looks like he’s spitting on what’s his name again from trembling bambi

Forgive my gender issues, it’s because of the English translator I use :frowning: I’m not changing on purpose.

Good-looking maid! Or not?

They should make Takumi a full-member of the band. He already proved he can do his magic on diru material many times

I would love to see him as a full member of Dir En Grey too. The corner stone of Sukekiyo for me and he has a massive influence on the DEG compositions. Honestly, i think that he’s one of best melodist in Visual kei since the beginning of the 2000’s and since RENTRER EN SOI. He has a unique musical sensivity.

i don’t know if you’re joking but kyo definitely doesn’t have a “stylist”

He has a dresser, make up artist and more.
In my country, they are usually called stylists.

if by dresser you mean THE d’OR, then they just make some of his costumes for more “formal” appearances like artist shoots and such. im 100% confident that he doesn’t have anyone to tell him how to dress for concerts lol

I think it’s a combination?

THE d’OR is specifically credited for wardrobe on DEG’s Final Days of Studio Coast release’s liner notes, whereas the notes for PB’s Resonance of the Corpse say Kyo (as well as Yukihiro and Takamatsu) styled their own stagewear below the credit for Antz and Miya’s stylist. THE d’OR is also credited as wardrobe stylist for the whole band within the tour staff notes for the live footage on disc 2 of The Devil in Me

I’m sure it’s a collaborative effort, not just somebody telling him how to dress. But I don’t think it’s 100% him all of the time

Kyo often sings that he wishes he was a girl, for example in candis, and he sometimes does the lolita girl style.
Do you guys think he has “something” like that, that he truly wants to be female, or is it more of a fetish thing?

It’s always come across to me as actually being from the perspective of girls and he just likes getting in character.

weeeeelllllllllllllllllllllll :joy:

I don’t think it’s either

I don’t think it’s a fetish because there’s nothing to suggest to me that Kyo, the real human, is incapable of having satisfactory sex without dressed as a woman (as the definition of a fetish is something you REQUIRE for satisfaction, vs. a kink which is something you just enjoy). Nor do I even think it’s something he really engages with in a sexual way to begin with - I think it’s just artistic expression for him

I also don’t think he’s trans because, again, I think it’s an artistic thing. He’s talked about DEG being a masculine expression and Sukekiyo being a feminine one - I don’t think it’s a hard line he keeps between the two projects but I can certainly see what he means, and appreciate wanting to express both masculine and feminine energy, whatever that means to the individual.

I’m also just not a fan of trying to sus out whether or not somebody is trans without them having said something explicit to that.

The feminine perspective in Sukekiyo is one of the reasons why I love the band so much, and why Adoratio is probably one of my favorite albums ever. Hakudaku has one of the best vocal performances from Kyo.
