I noticed some vkei bands have qq as a streaming service I always wondered about it. Anyone know how to make an account?
I don’t think qq is worth pursuing. Even if you manage to create an account via their smartphone app, which it prompts you to do (either that or WeChat), many of the tracks themselves are apparently region-locked to China. VPN speeds are abysmal for streaming as well. I also get ancy about most Chinese app permissions, but I digress.
You weren’t asking or may already know this, but If you want unfettered access to Visual Kei streaming (Japanese music-streaming in general), I’d just cough up the 7~8 bucks a month for a Japanese Apple Music subscription. No VPN required, you just have to pay for iTunes cards by proxy to a JP account.
Ok, I tried going signing up and installing the apps through a sandboxed user-profile. QQ didn’t like my actual phone number that I had to provide them, and WeChat also requires a phone number if you’re not using Facebook integration. Even providing WeChat with my number, it asked me to have a friend already on the platform in good-standing scan a QR code to finish creating my account.
If you’re not having trouble like me and successful creating an account with your phone number, the most recommended VPN is Transocks to use Chinese services without hiccups.
Still, having to use their desktop software and install android apps gives me pause. Free is free though . I miss the days were I could just pull MP3s with the browser inspector tool from Xiami when it was still active.
I’ve been using QQ for 17 years since I’m Chinese apparently. if you have to register for QQ music, you have to get a QQ account first.

or get a WeChat account.
later, you could login QQ music by login QQ or WeChat.
I personally prefer Kuwo music if I have to use a Chinese streaming platform. a friend gave me a permanent VIP account so I could download any track in lossless, forever unless Kuwo went down.
