So I set out to find Japanese gothic metal bands (since I took a liking to some Chinese ones), but it turned out to be harder than I imagined, since almost every result and recommendation I found were VK bands. I get it, there are tons of gothic VK bands, but I already know most of those, and I was looking for something different. Well, after some googling I came across this band, and oh boy, did I hit the jackpot with them, because this is exactly the kind of sound and vibe I was looking for!
Apparently they’ve been around since 2005, and have released four full length albums so far, but my discovery of them seems miraculously timely, as they are just about to drop their fifth one, titled ‘Effigy of the Flowing Tears’ on April 24th!
