Good question…. It is a very human reflex to make up excuses instead of just saying you ficked up….. funnily people usually prefer a honest “sorry, my mistake” and are relativly forgiving. They absolutely need a social media communication training…..

I still believe they didn’t have bad intensions. The high prices were not a good decision but overall, I don’t think it’s crooked that they want to make some money from the event, in this economy. Most of this is decisions, that would have needed feedback before making them public and terrible communication.
They are probably not lying because they want to scam us. They are lying because they did something stupid and got embarassed.
Being evil or being incompetant is not the same thing.
And since they were able to organize tours before, I don’t even think that the festival itself will necessarily be badly organized. But they are very lost when they try to handle critic.

Well, isn’t that the point though? I don’t think anybody thinks they’re evil.
They pride themselves in 20 years of experience, yet they’re as unprofessional as possible. And it happens again and again. Even newer organizers like killing daze or vk beats did better recently.

The person I replyed to called them “crooked”.
Quick definition check shows crooked is “not straight; dishonest or immoral or evasive.” They’re showing three out of three.
And this isn’t the first or second or third indication of it either. They described the 90€ frames as artisan, craftsman, handmade, very beautiful, unique, and personalized. They turn out to be cheap IKEA-style frames with the plaque on the inside edge, years old band photos, and the only personalization is yet another tribute to B7’s own glory.
I’m not saying they’re gleefully rubbing their hands together trying to make people upset. I am saying they are so selfishly motivated and have so little respect for their audience that they have crossed into scam territory. They don’t seem willing or able to do things the right way, even the simplest things like releasing information on time or double checking the times/dates/amounts before they post information. If you scroll through their X page, it seems their highest priority is taking photos with artists, and their lowest priority is making this a good experience for their customers.
I wish fans would stop taking the disrespect and put them out of business. We deserve better, and the bands deserve better.

It’s just a shame that no other organizer wants to take up the mantle for such an ambitious project.
I just wish they’d be more honest with what they’re working with and what is feasible vs not. I don’t exactly envy them with how demanding the fanbase can be sometimes.
They seem to be so intent on capitulating to every whim that people have that it is clearly getting away from them. They need to rein it in and just come clean with what the bottom line is.

If the privilege pricing and communication issues were the only problem we’d seen so far I’d be more likely to agree. I’ve been to B7 events before and they’re simply not good at their jobs. People were warned from the first announcement that B7 is biting off more than they can chew, and truly the problems are starting way earlier than I even anticipated. They are bad at coordinating, communicating, attention to detail, contingency plans, and customer service, all the things an event organizer needs to be on top of.

I don’t care if they’re lying because they’re embarrassed of they’re lying because they’re scammers, if someone has the inclination to be a liar and doesn’t have integrity I can’t trust them with my money or my physical safety….
These events are going to be long, and intense, and if B7 cuts any corners people will get hurt, it’s all just making me very nervous.

actually i noticed when this festival was first announced, one of the Killing Daze people tweeted “love it when other people steal my project ideas to make it theirs”
of course, an idea is just an idea and actually making it happen is a whole other thing
