First Visual Kei festival in Paris will be held (10 bands, July 11-12)

and killing daze met the challenge by booking tsuzuku and a guy who hasn’t been in a band of any relevance for half a decade to sing karaoke… I think I’ll take b7klan for now lol

But yeah, this is a pretty bad look and I hope they’re not financially dependent on these additional gimmicks working out for supplementary revenue on top of tickets, because if they are, then this is the last time this is happening — if it even does (although just randomly adding stuff on and then realising your organization is too small to handle all the moving parts is also not much better)

Yall got me worried about if this event will even get to unfold or if it’ll come crashing down before July 11th

I’ve already spent a bunch of money on plane tickets and stuff:sob::upside_down_face:

I’ve been to roughly 10 B7 events since 2010, it was always fine. Never bought VIP from them so can’t comment on that, but everything else was pretty standard.

But yeah, they’re definitvely AWFUL at communication lol I think they’re still stuck in a pre-social media world, but hey, at the end of the day as long as we get our 10 bands, that’s what matters most.

My experience with them was a) they being good artists b) that’s about the only good choice they make usually

That’s why I was skeptical about them at the begining. They seem to continue to struggle with stuff, but at least they are correcting on the fly despite comunicating It all wrong and embarassing themselves

Survivorship bias. For me, most of the concerts by them I had tickets have been canceled. The others were not great either.

Nightmare VIP package said you get “a signed” picture (or poster?) and it was an A4 sized picture with signatures. Well, prints of their signatures that is.

Lmao the theatrics, let me add “I survived B7” to my bio. Again, as I said, I’m talking about the concerts themselves. I never bother with a VIP with them.

But two things can be true at once. Those VIP experiences sucked, but I have nothing bad to say about the concerts, which is still the most important thing (to me at least, I get that people are more excited about meeting the band than the music itself, and that’s totally fine, it’s not just my thing).

They mostly started in times, the venues were mostly good to excellent (except Kamijo’s last gig in Paris, that one was atrocious), etc

And I get that having a concert cancelled on you sucks balls (I was supposed to see Matenrou with them, and I’m still not over David’s cancelled one-man in Paris 5 years ago (but that was another company)), but in the case of the festival, considering half the tickets sold out as soon as the sale started, unless natural disaster we’re totally safe.

Im just hope general sales and merch go well. Im not too crazy about the VIP or anything but i hope whoever is buying VIP their situation works itself out. :folded_hands:

NINTH IN PLUTO applied!

Any other bands which confirmed their application?

They came up on my feed and I was thoroughly happy they at least confirmed it! I’m not familiar with their stuff tho lol

I wonder when will come up with news regarding M&G and stuff.

It’s been awfully quiet lately

Yeah, that would be interesting to know. I would assume most bands who applied would make that known publicly.

136 days to B-Day and we have more posts about Mr Torpedo’s photoshoots in Japan rather than:

  1. information about the bus to Paris (this one’s really important so people can plan their accommodation accordingly)
  2. new m&g info (or at least just a “new info about m&g dropping soon!“ post). I found out they’re refunding already through a comment on Insta, jfc
  3. any info about the contest - we know they have 3 bands lined up for the Eurovkeision so they could just announce those for now
  4. idk, some signs of life, he was very very active in Japan and then crickets

Normally I’m not in a hurry to sort out logistics, but for one-off or first edition festivals where you don’t know what to expect, things are always announced sooner.

They said in the video announcement of the contest that Hévn’s 3 bands will be revealed on March 9th, alongside the 5 most voted by us! So a little under two weeks to go for that.

I’m guessing the M&G info takes a while because they need to re-negociate with all the bands/staffs, but I agree about the bus situation, they should have put these on sale immediately with the tickets.

Fair enough, I missed the 9 March mention!

The bus details are getting pretty pressing - I’d rather not rely on them but I’d feel better knowing they’re an option.

But when will we see a complete list of bands who applied and when we can vote? Did they already said anything about it and I forgot/missed it?

Yeah I posted everything a while ago:

I forgot the website was supposed to launch today, I guess it wasn’t ready on time?

Are we surprised?

B7Klan always announced information at 5 pm, maybe then? Less than 3 hours then.

Oh true, I thought it was JST, but yeah CET here makes more sense haha

2 days for voting is a rather short time

Hopefully we will find out more later today.

Does anyone know if Hevn magazine actively advertised/informed about that festival in some way?

Seems they have no instagram account which seems quite unusual. There is a facebook link on their homepage but it does not work for me.
