First Visual Kei festival in Paris will be held (10 bands, July 11-12)

They posted/reposted quite a lot on Twitter/X

Ah, ok. I don’t use X.

But that’s reassuring

So no magazine website still? lmao

So weird. Voting starts in 9 days and still no info at all.

Here’s Hevn Magazine’s Twitter:

They posted today about Masked: MASKED new visual kei project (which sounds fucking awesome and with a far greater chance of happening) so I know Hevn is active and aware of having been tagged in a few tweets.

We’ll find out what’s happening sooner one way or another, silence is also an answer.

MASKED had a previous edition last year and really got a boost this year. Being a domestic event it’s only natural oganizers have a easier time making it happen.

Jealous and happy for everyone that can go to Masked! It’s too short-noticed for me. But it’s not about Masked, it’s about Hevn announcing Masked and not B7klan which means Hevn is active, working, posting on Twitter (and clearly capable of doing proper social media) but likely didn’t get any more info from B7klan so they could launch the site on time which is :triangular_flag: :triangular_flag: :triangular_flag: :triangular_flag: :triangular_flag:

But, MASKED last year also had very interesting content of the organizers planning the whole event, they shared part of the making, brainstorming, marketing strategy, etc with the public months prior to the announcement of the first band.. and the organizers were kind of amateur as well, was a risky thing even for them.

MASKED have advantages as being locals, and having experiences as ex band memeber (the head of the project).. creating trust with the community is essential, this “small” details they are missing is slowly chipping away at the initial campaign

Yes, Masked is going to take priority because inherently, what Hev’n would be asking it’s readers/followers to do is help pick a band to play at a big festival that will be too expensive for most to attend due to travel costs and Yen to Euro exchange rate.

Whereas most of them can actually attend Masked

I mean, as the voting was planned for this weekend they kinda HAVE to post something. Even if it’s just something along the lines of “sorry for the delay, we’ll give you an update ASAP”.

I wonder why there aren’t a lot more comments on their instagram account regarding their silence about M&G and the website that should have been launched last week.

My theory is that they just won’t post it (and we’ll discover the bands) until the day of the voting. Which would be totally fine, if they didn’t said otherwise previously. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

What a shitshow lol

Can’t wait when people complain about the bands participating as well

I mean they did announce when the vote times are in advance.

I assume they are thinking everyone will already know what bands they want when they see them on whatever page they are posting.

I agree tho 2 days isn’t enough time for everyone to vote assuming this is on a multiple choice basis.

I hope they set some rule like 1 IP 1 vote or some kind of filter to avoid mass fake voting…but I can see the voting being another issue…

Sure, but what if none of the bands I, for example, wanted to see applied and I don’t know any of the bands who did? I want to have time to check them out properly. And we have no idea how many bands are available to choose from. Could be 10, could be 50.

I can imagine that not as many bands applied for this as they hoped they would.

True, another reason for the delay might have been that

Pro-tip for the future: If you’re going to do this fan voting, make it only one round and have your shortlist prepared in advance

Or maybe multiple bands applied, but dropped out when they saw no reply in 5-7 business days which is on brand at this point
