Toshiya from DEG reshaped how I play bass at a fundamental level. It started with adopting his stupid-looking like-Fieldy-but-more-proficient technique, and eventually turned into me rediscovering my love of writing melodic bass parts that weave around the guitar after years of mostly doubling down on whatever the riff was.
