Fukuro enters indefinite hiatus…
Absolutely brutal for his other bandmates, but hopefully this brings closure to those affected and prevents a vicious cycle from continuing.
I can’t help but wonder what kind of knock-on effects this will have for the scene going forward, if any. It’s not even like a “he was arrested” type of thing where there’s some kind of hard crime you can nail him with. This is about online allegations blowing up, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen this kind of consequences before in VK to my memory.

It is a bit of a metoo moment. I hope it will lead to less toxic relationships in the future, but time will tell.

There is speculation of this for DRUGS as well, but no official word afaik. We’ll see. Apparently the gya were given a heads-up about the 梟 hiatus ahead of the time..
I have to say, Japanese musicians are far better at writing apologies 
Even if it’s not sincere, even the façade of a proper apology instead of “I’m sorry if someone was offended” is refreshing.

main member had to be an ass and destroy the bands he’s in. Inevitable but terrible. Fukuro was one of the rare fun bands to be still active in the VK scene. Hope it doesn’t affect DRUGS as much as his position in the band isn’t as " crucial ".

I hope Fukuro finds a replacement eventually and gets back on their feet like UNiTE did. They were geining serious momentum and this really send everything to shit
I also legit chuckled at Lotto’s message. Dude is goated and I look forward to is work with GUMMY.

Man, I half-expected this to happen but still sucks it has come to this. And Fukuro is such a fun band live too. At least it’s good we didn’t get the dreaded “sorry your feeling got hurt” thing, or everything getting swept under the rug.

ngl i feel like we’re seeing this one so up front bc it happened w/ Yoshiatsu under English-speaking management engaged in overseas tours concerning a an English-speaking source of allegations

Idk if that means things are going one way or another, but i bet it’s not invisible either, and maayyyybbeee a bandman or two reconsiders before sending some career-burning DMs?

I feel this is a fairly good public statement as far as things go, but now the real test is living up to it after this all dies down.

Yutara’s statement seems the furthest from rug-sweeping i’ve heard in vkei to my memory, the “continuing to perform…would not be the right thing to do” comes off to me like a pretty strong statement of responsibility

Well, he provided his management with full SNS, that’s not nothing and backs up his postition well. But I doubt anyoen would go and publicly back him even after looking at all of that and reaching the same conclusion as him so… dude has to take 2 good years off.
I appreciate them suspending activities and him stepping out of the scene/ public life. I appreciate them doing something, reacting in this way, because it’s still so common for these things to not matter in the end. I really hope he actually stays away, too, deals with his problems and sits with the consequences of his actions. Hopefully the other members figure something out soon, it must be tough to deal with this behind the scenes.

I’m really not handling this well.
I don’t know what I expected to happen. I didn’t doubt the accusations. I think I just didn’t want to believe it could end the band.
Fukuro has been, surprisingly, one of the most important VK bands to me. My partner and I helped promote their California tour. We met the band. Bonded. And we met so many fans in the US, Japan, and abroad, because of Fukuro.
If I never met them, I wouldn’t have had the experiences I’ve had over the past 2 years. Too many things to put into words.
And now Yoshi has to go fuck it up because he can’t understand that maybe it’s not ok to talk to teenagers when you’re old enough to be be their dad.
I’m just so beat up. I worry about Daisuke and Yutara, who were able to tour the world with Fukuro and now who knows if they’ll get that chance again. At least Lotto has a lot of clout and connections, so he’ll likely be ok.

This makes me so sad… But I’m kind of glad Yoshiatsu admitted to whatever happened and is stepping away. I’ve seen the screenshots and things on twitter and honestly I didn’t know what to think, how much of it is true, how much is exaggerated.
I’m finally going to Japan in October and one of the things I wanted to do was go to their 5th anniversary live. I seen them in London last year, and like most others have said their music is really unique and fun. I really like their vision.
I’m really sad for the other members, especially Daisuke. Yutara and Lotto have their other bands to keep themselves busy, but as far as I know Daisuke doesn’t really have any other projects? (pls correct me if I’m wrong).
And it sucks for drugs too. I can’t believe that they’re cancelling all their activities, especially their Latim Americans tour, imagine all the fans who were so looking forward…
This just makes me more afraid of people, and more cautious as to what the person’s true colours are. It’s scary honestly…
