GERTENA "Europe" "tour" (DE, CH) in October 2025 announced

Oh, VKBeats again…

Maybe these prices were necessary to get them to agree to this “tour”.

The VIP packages are relatively cheap, usually these start at around 100 bucks - but I don’t know what’s included here, maybe it’s just a short “Hi!” to the band without pics or anything

I mean, the prices are not actually bad. And they’ve worked it out so that at least the shows that they advertise end up happening.

My greater concern at this point with them is the alleged inappropriate behaviour that I’ve heard about.

If it was so uncomfortable, why does Kiwamu keep sending his bands over? Do the bands have the ability to say no?

Wow… poor guys. Why did they agree to it?
I think Satsuki is too nice and tries to ignore the behaviour of the “staff” just to be able to go overseas

Maybe a similar reason why so many rising stars in the entertainment industry bear with things like that - in the hopes of gaining popularity with the help of abusive people in power and the fear of missing opportunities (or even destroying their career) when they refuse or say No.

For Germany the prices are quite expensive considering how unknown they are though and that “VIP” is only early entry and a"handshake group photo".

But in the last two years, prices have risen enormously. There are two bands I like a lot and who are touring quite frequently. For both of them I had to pay around ten euros more this year than last year respectively the year before.

Regarding the Gertena VIP Tickets: For such a small band, I don’t think early entry brings much benefit  I can’t see that many people attending the concerts.

last time there were only 50 people. VK Beats doesn’t care to lose money, as long as they can be close to the members

I just checked their youtube channel - they have 1200 subscribers

The kiddos also seem to be angry about a tweet Agato made a while ago.

Now I’m curious  Can you please explain what exactly happened?

Agato tweeted in English “you get fat when you’re not working”, which could have been a translation of a Japanese idiom (not sure), but many people got personally offended over it.

Kind of like when Kairu was talking about a Kiryu(I think) live he attended where the vocalist called out an attendee for wearing something too elaborate and not moving much, so he told her to start moving and sweat “you fat pig”. Kind of in the same tone that a metalcore vocalist would call the crowd “motherfuckers”, but a lot of people got offended at that story too.

Edited to add:

Now, I can only speak from my own experiences here.

Those who have read through my thread can probably see that I am not exactly thin. Definitely “Japan fat”.

I saw Gertena twice, once in second row. And during that show, I felt that Agato was pleased to see me there. I was doing furi, calling and responding. He would smile and make eye contact with me, and extended his mic to me during one of the call and responses. I haven’t interacted with him beyond that, but make of that what you will for if you’d feel welcome at a Gertena concert.

I’ve gotten to know him a little better, and he’s genuinely a nice guy. He’s never said anything negative and treats everyone kindly, including his more voluminous fans.

The real issue lies with the teenagers. But these days, it’s not just the visual kei fans anymore.

Well, his tweet was crap to begin with. I don’t think anyone here can judge if he’s a “good person” or not because we don’t know him personally.

That being said, it was pretty fucking stupid to tweet the bullshit he tweeted and then “apologize” two months after that as a reaction to fans being upset and the “tour organizer” supposedly telling you to apologize and probably even phrase the tweet for you.

Oh god, is this why there are so many angry comments on the Instagram live announcement? :woman_facepalming: I keep seeing comments about how they are “bad people”, I expected something actually bad happened

It was initially being mad over the Twitter post, but they did also bring up the military costumes that they had a bit earlier this year, citing the similarity to Nazi uniforms.

Which, yeah, I don’t think most of us exactly like that trend but between the Imperial Japan and Pseudo Nazi type costumes that exist in VK it’s pretty much impossible to refuse to listen to any artist or band who has ever had one and still be a fan of the scene as a whole.

The outfits in question
Personally I am on the point, we live in 2024 and google is free

And also, different color scheme, no armbands and they would have been good to go again

I see, thank you for explaining. I just saw the incriminating picture too. I agree with you, I’m not a fan of the whole Nazi-inspired style, but so many VK bands have adopted it for the “shock value” in the past that if we have to censor all of them we might run out of bands to listen

its the big '24 theres no reason to do this when google is free, it was excusable in the 90s but nowadays its eehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i dont rlly think agatos comment was fatphobic but this look is a huge no for me

i think the problem is that this band had this look earlier this year, if a band had it years ago i dont think people would care as much i guess

Yeah… I wonder what they were thinking when they decided to wear these outfits in 2024 while also planning to perform in Germany :woman_facepalming:
