the thread has since been deleted but someone had posted a GoFundMe for Zeke Deux to perform in their country…I can’t remember if it was in Switzerland (they did end up performing there earlier at an unknown venue, oop, looks like it was from this agency, it’s def legit), but it appeared to be just a fan with no official backup.
This group looks official tho, and I see no GoFundMe anywhere so it looks legit to me.
That’s exactly why staff decided to delete the thread.
The crowdfunding was originally made by one private person, they since then changed the description towards mentioning vkbeats.
They wanted Zeke Deux to perform in Germany, meanwhile the crowdfunding went over Switzerland apparently, because the donations are in CHF
Mind you that the band itself has said or mentioned apparently nothing of the crowd funding.
But maybe @tama-chan would like to speak up herself.

I know people who organize tours and concerts in a very niche and small underground scene (Darkwave and Goth) and let’s say… you are more likely to make losses than to cover the costs, because attendance is more than often bad, despite wasting a lot of time and money into promoting the events. And my friends are very experienced and have been doing this since two decades now, mind you. They also pay from their pockets like you (and quite a lot, that some of them are nearly broke/in.debts now).
And VK is even more niche. I am not saying you shouldn’t bring these bands to Europe, because I think it’d nice for more VK bands to come over here. Just that it’s risky and I wonder if there’s enough people here who even know about Zeke Deux or Gertena. They aren’t exactly famous or influential (even in their own local scene). We don’t even have the remnants of the Manga/Anime boom to push VK bands anymore.
Then again I don’t know what deal you have made with Kiwamu (and I know for all the drama he attracts he’s honest abput bringing VK bands to the West). I wish you all the best and that hopefully a lot of people will actually come and see the bands if the concerts are happening.
