He will be leaving November of 2026 and the band will continue as a trio. That’s as much as I can get out of Google so if anyone knows more, please let me know.

Yeah that’s about right. Sounds like Gaku had really made up his mind about this, and all comments (at least that of Hal and Hiro and Gaku, Airu’s brevity is a constant) point towards this being very specifically Gaku’s choice in life/career to leave.
Definitely a blow, but 14 years is a long run. Tomo leaving, Kazi leaving…
Fest always deserves so much more love, though I also recognise that for a band with such an incredible sound (Sincrea/FV being spiritual successors to Janne Da Arc imo, and probably a lot of people’s o), they really haven’t always gotten the most face time in both the local and overseas scenes. I hope the remaining trio continue to take Fest full steam ahead!
