Hey there. I’m new to all this; not been on many forums before. I just suddenly decided to look and see if there was a J-rock forum and discovered this place. In J-rock I’m into mostly girl/female-fronted bands - punk, garage, indie rock; bands like Shonen Knife, Tsushimamire, the Molice, Kinoco Hotel, Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her, Red Bacteria Vacuum, 54 Nude Honeys, Detroit 7, Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass, Lolita No.18, the 5.6.7.8’s, Kokeshi Doll, les Vivian Boys, Noodles, etc. etc.

Anyone out there like that stuff? Would be great to here from you.

P.S. I also like anime and I’m every bit as old as my avatar.

I don’t follow or know many female fronted bands, might check you some of the ones you mentioned. I do know where your avatar comes from though and it’s a really sweet story (I haven’t finished reading it yet)

Hey welcome!

I wouldn’t say I’m into the bands you mentioned. I did catch Shonen Knife when they came through a couple (?) year ago and it was a fun show. And Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her are classic.
