J-Rock or Visual Kei Lost Media/Scavenger Hunt

Thought this might be a fun topic (if it’s derivative of another I can remove it no problem ), but what are some pieces of media/merchandise/etc you’re looking for, but can’t find anymore?

For example, I just remembered this one video of the DELUHI guys going to get gyūdon (at Yoshinoya?) and I cannot find it anymore for the life of me! I used to have a pretty comprehensive archive, but that video’s missing—not sure if it was a standalone thing, or if it was part of another video. I know how it sounds, but I swear it was real!!! :smiling_face_with_tear:

But yes, whats something you’ve been trying to find? And who knows, maybe someone here might know about it :eyes:

The things I would do to find KEEL’s Nire to Budou no Niwa DVD…

He made a tomato sauce?
Omg that sounds like a fun one to dig for, I might give it a go

Upon my initial google search, I see he’s still making sauce lol 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒛𝒆𝒕𝒕𝑬 𝑲𝑨𝑰 | 今回はアメリケーヌソースにしてみましたー! まぁ簡単に言えばエビの旨みを凝縮したソースです🦐 結構何にでも使えるので色々試してみてもらったら嬉しいです! 試しにパスタ🍝作ってみました!... | Instagram

i have to emphasize that i only like this song because of the music itself, not the lyrics/concept/title because that all is so so bad lol but vidoll’s hxmx crash trap only seems to exist in one form: one (1) 16 year old video on youtube. i’ve heard the song was a live-only release, but i have yet to see that release in download form ever!

Description from an Internet Archive upload I can't include here for piracy reasons:

「Bijin Kakumei ~Saishuu Kakumei Yokokubi 1229~」" is the fourth live DVD and sixth overall DVD released by Vidoll. This was filmed on December 29th, 2004 at SHIBUYA-AX at the eponymously titled one-man concert tour finale. During this live “HxMx CRASH TRAP @” was distributed for free. The limited first pressing grants enclosed application tickets to buy the DVD “HxMx CRASH TRAP@”. Released March 15, 2005, The DVD reached #114 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for a week.

Two current listings:

that is SOOO wild omg??? i have never used mercari but i’d assume it’s just a normal jp based shopping service, i see it mentioned a lot

Omg you can buy it after all this time

I’ve never used mercari before either but now I’m wondering what DELUHI stuff I can find

I did see someone had sold one of Leda’s Cygnus guitars. And I thought aaaa if that were available…. I cannot promise it wouldn’t have been an impulse buy… :skull::money_with_wings::fire:

Mentioning DELUHI, there was a Frontier making of I couldn’t even find 10 years ago.

Another one is Girugamesh’s free 迷叫テロリズム with their GLAMOROUS SKY cover from 2006.

@Viktoria I read this and got so excited, I have that DELUHI video you mentioned!
I put it here for now, unsure how long it will be available due to copyright!

Also update on my own search, I took this screenshot from a compilation and it’s exactly what I remember!

:sob:it’s real

Yes, this is it, thank you! What’s this dvd btw? Because I don’t remember this being on the single itself

Virtually all comment videos and live snippets from that one vk homepage. I think it was something that contained “b@nd” or something? Does anybody remember it?

Also I remember that Dir en grey had videos of full songs from their 2007 EU tour for sale on their homepage. I only have a shitty mp3 rip of The Pledge in Stockholm, but haven’t seen any videos anywhere since then.

I wish I knew :frowning: my preliminary google searches and visits to their archived blog don’t seem to mention it. What I did find out was that there was a paid membership at some point—I didn’t know this a decade ago. It was for a mobile site/service? Something like a fan club I suppose, as for some merch announcements they specified how certain products were for paid members only. I’m thinking the dvd must have been shared via that paid membership. I’m not quite sure how I saw it back then, I feel like someone had posted it to YouTube.
