I think that’s not worse than anything that was rhymed in the average amrican rap lyrics. And also missheard lyrics anyway XD
That’s still so much closer to the correct word than 90% of Kyo’s english
Be gentle on poor Yomi.
This! I think a bit of “engrish” is just a part of VK. Like using special characters in band names/song titles or the typical hand movements in vk MVs. It’s a feature not a bug!
Just got back from the THE_____ tour final! He definitely sang “What the mother” lol.
He also talked a bit about the Ganesha-Electric Sitar Suite- after he played it. (The sitar was very cool to see.)
Apparently(and I don’t know much about music so Idk if I’m transcribing it right), he wrote different tempos into G-ESS-, so instead of 4/4, it goes 3/4, 2/4, 6/4, 7/4, 3/4… or something like that. He told us to go home and count the beats lol.
Sakito queen I am musically-challenged please don’t do this to me then again, read from twitter reports that the song is somewhat challenging live for the support members…? I think
The sitar must have been amazing to see. I read that they don’t make those anymore? Not sure if meaning that the model or electric sitars from that company. I hope he takes it out for a live sometime again, since we don’t know when Jakigan will come back (2k26 pls)
No but actually this makes sense. Japanese music and western music all use very similar chord progression and the most common being 4/4. Most western and Japanese music nowadays is written in 4/4. Since Sakito’s very openly experimenting with “eastern” styles it makes sense that he’s using different tempos and trying to blend music theories.
Basically Sakito has already mastered Western/Japanese music theory. Now he’s trying to get the rest of the world’s music under his belt. Collecting them like Pokémon
Thats actually why he brought up the tempo thing!
He started off by (proudly) asking us if we had a hard time bobbing along to Ganesha, and then said it was different.
Then the drummer Hiro said that when he first heard the song, he was super confused, and that’s when Sakito explained the tempo stuff.
(honestly i had no idea what he was talking about lol)
The sitar was really cool! I kept waiting for him to play on the little strings on top but he never did lol.
Agreed, i hope there’ll be more jakigan next year or in 2026!
Did you notice the tempo changes when you listened to it? (music noob here)
Yeah I did. Thought it was a nice touch as I do like other types of music as well. To many it might sound too foreign and “weird” as a result but I’d hope that the international VKei fanbase knows better
