I really like Asagi’s version actually - I think it’s probably my current favourite of the individual versions. I haven’t heard the Sono one yet, but I don’t listen to Matenrou Opera in all honesty - I do intend to give them a fair try soon.

I wish some mixing wizard put Asagi vocals in the original instrumental

yes original instrumental is so creative. I mean this band was unique. I never heard something like Malice Mizer

All we know is that there is an bootleg-style recording in someone’s computer cause they were using it to promote the tour

Live performance correctly filmed !
I wanna cry so much aaahhhhh they’re all so beautiful and legendary and incredible and outstanding ! :face_holding_back_tears::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkles:

The way they’re all singing, their voices blends so well, and sounds sooo beautiful even in live, with such a difficult song. They’re not Visual Kei legends for nothing. And also the musicians are incredible as well ! The orchestra ! :sparkling_heart:
Woah Seth seriously ! :face_with_peeking_eye: harmonizing with Sono :rose: and Asagi’s part at 1:21 is also my favourite in the studio version :face_holding_back_tears: And of course whatever Kamijo do is absolutely beautiful !

PS : I never liked D as much as I loved MDM, Matenrou Opera and Versailles but damn Asagi is such a treasure for Visual Kei his voice and live performance is incredible !

Absolute chills

edit: and there I go buying this DVD

I thought it was a fantastic performance, without needing a ton of guitarists and bassists. It was all supported by Hizaki, Teru, (supposedly) Mana, Masashi, and Amane, part of the orchestra. Also, am I the only one who noticed that in the video editing, they cut a lot of shots of Mana? There’s a moment where he does a kind of solo on top of the stairs, and they don’t even show him.

Yeah, some shots are weirdly framed and there’s some bizarre cuts. Great performance nevertheless

It is a very good DVD :rose:

This is Kamijo’s solo show where everyone else is a guest, not JVM performance. No reason to focus specifically on Mana :woman_shrugging:

I understand they’re guests, but it’s not a “one-angle” DVD. The guitar solos are usually filmed.

My point is that Mana doesn’t want to be seen in unflattering shots and insists on seeing how he looks and how he doesn’t before the release. When he did the famous tea parties in Latin America, he had all his photos with his fans edited before handing them out.

Anyway, Kamijo’s DVD releases are usually plagued with poor editing. When I saw the Violet Dawn and Kingdom DVDs, especially the latter, I wondered who made those decisions.

And what about Kamijo’s clothes? Will he ever take off that jacket? Does he sleep in it like his classic trousers?

Welp Kamijo is notorious for using the same costume for years till it become rags.

Then it sounds like he asked them to be cut :woman_shrugging:

Mika of Rentrer en soi and Sukekiyo fame most likely. I don’t think his DVDs are horribly edited but I do agree that from time to time there are certainly some interesting choices made.

He will take it off when it either falls apart or he gets another he feels as or more comfortable in. Until then, this one stays
