There are tons of reasons
A lot of those rumors are some revenge stories. When their fans didn’t get the way they wanted to, they throw some ugly stuff out.
Other stuff might be true and a warning to others, especially things like those guys with STDs, violent bandomen etc.

You have to account that a lot of bandomen have mitsu’s, girls that pay them for their “extra service”
A lot of them work as hosts, and what can give you some extra money as host, after the bar is closed for the night? You can guess what.

Bandomen will have girlfriends or will be married and still f*ck around etc.

Being a host and doing after makura eigyou to get mitsu during the after time would kind of defeat the purpose of being a host but I imagine there are some dumb kids. Usually you would be trying to pressure them inside the club to spend more money, but a bandman while currently active receiving mitsu without working as a host is really the only logical way and why you see “former” host. Why give the club 60-40% (depending on payment scale rules) to the club and then be stuck having to work as a regular to get a better cut. So if you see a bandman still active as a host he is probably dumb as nails *worked as a host and then designer/trainer so.

Anyone who has read about the “Ai (gulu gulu) is a pedophile” drama (on twitter/ig)?

I’m not super into gulu gulu and I only know that he has like REALLY questionable stickers on his guitar (basically pictures of minors (?) in very sexual poses etc) and he took a pic of his guitar and then deleted the picture (after receiving many negative comments, especially from gaijins).
Then he complained for being “bashed” by gaijins lol

I dunno when having edgy stickers became solid proof someone is a pedophile but I’ve seen people crying about deleting all gulugulu music due to this drama and it’s kind of pathetic.

Vkei has always been about shock value and uncomfortable imagery. I’m not saying that having pictures of perceived minors looking at each others underwear on one’s guitar is perfectly normal, but you can have a look at the profile of every person who’s making this a witch hunt on twitter and see they’ve been into vkei for probably less than a year (and they’re all young teens)

ok, because i am collection material from the discord, its 4 days that we have disscussed the topic
I was lowkey hoping we’d just ignore the topic on the forum, but saw yesterday some talking about it on the random thought thread.

Now, i am new to gulu gulu, but i want to try to say what around happened

Basically everything seems to have started with the good old fight, young fans VS old fans.

• Then a omnious tiktok appeared accusing Ai of being a pedophile because of said photos
  what exactly that had to do with the original fight i don’t know
• Short afterwards the massreports against said photos must have started and people commenting, that its disgusting etc, etc,
• The photos finally was taken down on his instagram, if it was him, or instagram, no one knows, and i dont care either
• Someone started then to call out that Ai follows an artist who is known for his edgy fetish art,

  Now that artist has worked together with Kyo for Madaraningen (but no one ever accused kyo of anything)
• Now at one point, not sure when exactly, Ai, himself spoke up and tried to explain the photos on his guitar.

He did also retweet promo from his band again, now you could think that was innocent and he tried to not have the other stuff on his timeline, but
I do think retweeted it trying to give those kids a hint, that gulu gulu has stood against any kind of child abuse

Some sidenotes i want to add.
I had a talk about the whole thing with a Jpop mutual, and she suddenly came up and wrote “i smell kpop”.
I hadn’t mention at that point of the conversation with her, that most accounts that went against Ai did post Kpop stuff too or was openly kpop fans.
Some of those that went against Ai, also complained that they can’t understand him, because he writes in japanese. Now… i understood everything perfectly fine, via google translate. And if kids have such huge problems, they might wanna stick with music and musicians that talk their language.

I know this saying is problematic especially in the current climate but, people need to go outside. Browsing your twitter bubble/10 second toktok brainwash feed and having trigger reactions to every single thing your friends are outraged about 24/7 just makes you lose touch with reality. Imagine going to some kind of authority and turning over some screenshots of weird edgy photos some guy in make up pasted on his guitar as proof that someone is an actual criminal.

I think on that ai stuff the main thing I saw was that picture of the girl on top of his lap. I showed that photo without saying anything to our female staff member and her friend who are both bangya from 90s era and they both were disgusted and angry saying “pedophilia” etc.
So as Ive seen some say its just western fans over reacting just gotta say naww. Even that staff who is into eroguro manga was like Nooope to that kind of imagery.
Im all for shock value too but thought that was a bit too much and in bad bad taste.
At the end of the day what you consume and support is up to you though, im cool off that kinda sh*t though _;
