Looking for musicians for remote project

Hi! Not sure if this type of thing is allowed or if I posted this in the correct place, but I’m hoping to find other musicians here who may be interested in participating in a remote-collab project that I’m a part of.

It’s a japanese music project with all sorts of musicians, but right now we have only a few who are into the jrock/visual-kei scene, so I thought I’d check here!

Let me know if you’re at all curious or interested or if you have any questions!

I can’t find a DM function on here, so feel free to message me on discord at < samhmusic >.

Hey, what instruments do you play? What do you currently have filled out and what are you looking for?

What bands are your favs / inspirations?

Do you have a name or aesthetic in mind, even if it’s loose and tentative?

What are your thoughts on the language for the lyrics?

No pressure to answer any of these unless you want! I just suggest them as they might help you find matches, or at least get some more interest around what you’re doing

I’d be interested depending on influences and such as rsm_rain mentioned. I play guitar and bass

Hi and thanks for your replies @rsm_rain and @Joel !

We’re actually a larger group/collective/community of musicians who are into japanese music in general.

The collab projects we take on are entirely decided by members of the group depending on interest. So far we already have a few jpop covers in the works, and recently we have some folks (a bassist and a drummer) who have shown interest in playing Rusty Nails by X Japan. But that’s just a suggestion at this point.

So anyway that was what prompted me to post here, to hopefully increase the representation of jrock/vk musicians in the group. And thereby actually make a jrock/vk cover possible! I hope that makes sense!!

Interesting, so it’s more covers y’all are organizing, not originals?

oh we’re definitely open to making originals, but we dont have anything in the works yet.

Oh very cool, wishing y’all luck!

I’ve personally ended up a fan of a few vkei-styled musicians from their posts on here, so please feel free to keep us updated on any progress!
