It’s nice to see 3/4 of D’espairsRay with Luv Parade. But sadly Taka still isn’t doing it for me compared to Hizumi. But at least his english is nearly as hard to understand 
tbh I think he’s great, but he’s giving a bit of uncanny valley because I can’t stop thinking he’s going for despa vocal style while always sounding just a tad off
I feel like ryo in hug is a better match for karyu’s composing style because he has his own distinct sound
(as long as they keep releasing I won’t complain though)
Totally agree with nekkichi.
When I listen to luv Parade I think of Hizumi. Taka is not bad, but lack of personnality.
If Karyu could focus on H.u.g it would be great. ryo got his own vocal character and it’s surprising how it works with Karyu style.
For me it’s different.
It’s just a matter of taste but so far I couldn’t grow accustomed to liking Ryo’s voice. While Luv PARADE ain’t Despa and Taka ain’t Hizumi even though there are some vibes of that around. That might also be because at lives they do cover quite some Despa songs. And to be frank Despa fans constantly complaining over so many years how only old Despa was great but even newer Despa before stopping activities wasn’t I’m not surprised there might be some leaning towards something Hizumi has been doing at some point.
Whatever the reason I truly like Luv PARADE’s music, it’s closest to what is to get now to what had been existing in the past. And the members seem to be happy with what they are doing and that’s what counts to me the most.
Agreed with @Kaishiki. Some will prefer Taka over ryo, looking for any Despa vibes, while others will prefer ryo for not sounding like Hizumi. Personally, I’m not fond of H.u.g. because of the vocals.
I guess everyone will find in those 2 bands what they’re lurking for at first.
For me it’s not even necessarily about the Despa vibes these are rather the cherry on the cake. But this
that’s how it’s for me, too.
And I know some people won’t understand. I’ve seen lots of comments throughout so many threads and years about “how can you not like this or that or whatever” but in the end that always comes down to taste and memories and emotions and a lot more and that differs from person to person (which’s a reason why I always never wish for bands to disband just because I don’t like their sound, there’s always someone who does, I don’t want others to wish for the bands I do like to disband because it’s heartbreaking so why would I wish for other bands to do so just because they don’t meet my taste?).
