lynch.

Sorry for the off-topic…anyone knows lynch. members signatures? I just got my copy of Sinners -No One Can Fake My Bløod- and has some signatures on it, but the description didnt say about it and was a cheap copy, so wondering what is it

apologies for this unhelpful comment but the thought of buying a band’s CD, scribbling my own signature onto it, and trying to sell it as signed is extremely funny to me

thats the thing, it wasnt sold as signed and was 1000 yens, so either the ppl selling didnt know what was selling or is just some random stuff. It was like the cheapest copy I found :joy:

honestly looks pretty legit to me. The original owner’s name (Mayumi) is written under Yusuke’s name, so she probably took it to an instore to be signed - and Yusuke was the one who wrote her name. I’m guessing it’s not that valuable if someone else’s name is already on it? They did use to do signing instores a lot, after all.

Just in case you’d like to know, you have, from L to R:

Top: Hazuki, Reo
Bottom: Yusuke, Akinori, Asanao

Thanks for the confirmation and the description! I’ll take it as an unexpected extra. Only happened to me once in the past when I bought a copy of Merry’s Happy Life from Closet Child and also came surprisignly signed.

Favorite lynch. album?

For me it’s D.A.R.K. because it’s the only one I don’t get bored of at any point (aside from THE BURIED which is a compilation). I feel like Hazuki’s vocals got really good around this point or a little earlier, and there’s so many good tracks, D.A.R.K., ANTARES, EVOKE, ETERNITY, FALLEN, COSMOS, all super good.

Can’t believe this album came out 10 years ago.

I would want to say I BELIEVE IN ME, but with these remakes I think I need to give a proper relisten of the whole discography again to make a final judgment.

also, anyone going to one of their AVOIDED SHADOWS lives this month?

Not this month, but i’m going to the Nagoya show in December

Unless you’re talking about the FC limited lives (sorry i cant remember all the titles of the shows)

D.a.r.k. is such a solid album. I think it’s their best piece of work post “Inferiority Complex”. Everything blends together nearly just right on this album for me. I did feel like the “dark” concept was rarely present and did little to shake up their sound. But their song writing I think hit a good balance of familiar yet fresh. It’s just an incredibly catchy album.

I also want to call out the remake of “doze” from the “evoke” single. It’s such a fantastic take on the track. I especially love Hazuki’s vocals during the break in the middle song. I much prefer this version to the one on the Shadows remake album.

Real talk. I think Ultima and Reborn are their most solid albums recently (Discounting the remakes of course which was excellent, especially Shadows) The songs in Ultima are very diverse in sounds which was rare in modern lynch case. I particularly enjoy the faster, heavier songs on the album, like XERO, EROS and ALLERGIE. Whereas for the ballads, well, It’s not bad I enjoy ASTER specifically I think Ultima is the album that i’ll recomend to new fans looking to listen to more lynch outside of maybe IBIM which was fairly similar in terms of variety, but I havent listen to it enough.

Reborn on the other hand while not as diverse as Ultima, it had one unique quality that may or may not be replicated by lynch in the future. It had a distinct Nagoya sound. Particularly on the second half with 3-hit combo, Crime, Bleu, and Pragma. Listening those three songs back to back really reminds me of 9goats that was probably intentional on lynch part, maybe as an homage. While most agree that Eclipse had no business being on this album I think every other songs on Reborn is a solid listen imo.

This album are not as easy to recommend however, because one would have to wait a little before you get to the good stuff, and even the good stuff may not be for everyone because it was mostly slower stuff. A damn good one at that but those who expect heavy stuff would have to settle with Calling Me because the other heavy songs is this album were not as good.

It’s unfortunate that Fierce EP breaks their streak of solid releases (Again, discounting the remakes) but I’m actually pretty optimistic for their future full album.
