Make a Wish - Aesthetics you wish VK would wear

Oh no, the person who always complains about VK fans being fixed on looks opens up a thread about looks, what a hypocrite I am.
… Eitherway

There is a ton of aesthetics VK bands have picked up over the time from boring ass suits, to everyone favorite problematic uniforms.
But I do wonder, are there outfits or make up or hair that you think no VK band has tried out till now?
Is there something you would love a band to try out?

Let’s talk about it

And yes I made this thread actually to talk about Pickelhaube Kei… When???

Joke aside. But you know uniforms is a point.
I need a band to try the Prussian Ulanen uniform in “Feldgrau”, it gives a beautiful snatched waist by the way.

Also the Ulanen had a beautiful helmet

But to suggest something normal. Someone dye Sena his hair another color… Please

Edit: Misui got actually pretty close and well in the German WW1 uniforms

Guess I need to do some listening now
(They Outfits look cheap as fuck thou and boys next time, high boots or puttee, to make that loose pants look better)

My absolute favourite is shinjuku gewalt’s uniform, a cosplay of Mishima Yukio’s private militia. It was damn good.

I wish there will be more medical aesthetics, not like that cheap vk medical hosts (「look at me I’m swexxy doctor show me your boobs…….」kei), but like lulu - more punk(ish) that vk(ish).

Talking about bringing things back - can we please go back to just foundation, lipstick, eyeshadow instead of completely face altering makeup plus filter

some thigns cant be taken back…

slutty sluts slutting out, can I get an Amen

I would kill for a group where all five members have a fair share of fanservice in their outfits. also would love to have more integration of fetish wear, especially harnesses latex/latex suits and gas masks.
Generally I would love to have more groups with more sex theme.

the jesus is a friend of mine one, the closest I thing we truly gotten to that was that first announced Visual for R-Shitei’s Visual Kei is dead which was pretty obviously a red herring.
(I currently struggle a lot with actually finding it, but there were also group and solo photos for that “visual”)

(thank you @zeetabyte for finding the images)

I need them to stop using those jawline face filters lol
I think every bandmen looks better without the filter, most of them just look uncanny
Maybe in some cases they had jawline surgery done, but even then, it’s too much

We also need to normalise wearing glasses lol
I love how the old Sakai Mitsuki looks still use glasses on top of a full face of make up

As for clothing styles, I don’t have much of an opinion
Maybe we could use some colours again outside of black, gold and red

This is also REALLY wishful thinking (cause theres only so much u can do with a medical look) but, i wish there were more bands where the look wasnt just done for like 1 song or an album or something
like i wish there were more where its kind of their main thing bc i think in like the 2000s (?) it was a popular phase for bands or something but u rarely got a band who CONSTANTLY did the medical look

to stick to the true goal of this topic of styles that seemingly have never been worn (at least commonly), i half-jokingly nominate … (late) 60s! no one’s surprised.

yes, of course, we will always have our showa kayou kei bands (as redundant and/or fleeting as some can be), but that really tends to the uniform side of things, and just isn’t as specific in era as one (i) would want! that’s a huuuge chunk of time that bands really only spend one or two decades focusing on.

i think this is an untapped resource, but perhaps for good reason– the ‘western’ silhouette in this regard is NOT the most easy to work with! i still would love to see even just one exploration into this through the lens of visual kei. if you asked me right now what that would even look like, i’d struggle, 100%. but still …

do i even need to mention i am placing the emphasis on women’s fashion? mod it up, bandmen, wear the damn miniskirt. nor do i want that みゆき族 bs again … boooring.

I got you. Sorta.

Tokyo Jihen may not be visual kei, but they pull a lot of their influence from the 60s!

Let me know how much of the '60s you feel!
