He’s ONE OF US
Makes me wonder again if he is really more successful with his recent commercially more appealing music - that view makes me question it
I keep a little collection of funny quotes of my friends and one of them was:
“Even underground is too mainstream for miyavi”
Well, some things are not for eternity…
Oh, you have friends (plural even, not only one!) who listen to VK/J Rock?!
I envy you. I never was able to truly get friends of me excited for that kind of music. Not even back in the day when it was more popular and I had some friends who at least had some interest in japanese culture, like mangas/animes
I am not friends with this particular person anymore but my three closest friends are into vk. Last time myv was in Europe I went with one of these three. I met her first at a Moi dix Mois concert. That person was friends with the person I quoted.
And I got work bestie into VK to the point that we put band flyers and checkis on the wall in the office.
Lucky you! The majority of my friends listen to gothic, metal or rock so one might think the jump to VK is not that big. Actually, it’s not that rare that people who are forced ( ) by me to listen to some songs even like the instrumentals. But the issue is most of the time the vocals - either the voice itself or the singing style.
As of now, there are some songs that are liked by my boyfriend or friends, but t’s never enough to get them fully hooked
