Why are so many people arguing about opening up international sales. That’s not the point. There is like one thausend and one proxy services. All people ask for is to sell it not live limited but via webshop. They don’t need to handle international shipping via their own webshop.
they are probably realistic that people are going to spend more ¥¥¥ in a live house if the supply is not going up after. it’s not a nice strategy, but on their end it’s also simply easier to bring a box of goods, let live hall staff do the sales, and put up merch surplus and that one sad CD online.
Sure, Sho and Hiroshi trashing the whole VK scene in an interview and Sho quiting music had nothing to do with it. Retsu wasn’t the sole reason
But we are in the Nazare Thread, so back to the topic
I am curious if they also got that tactic of “buy 4 singles and you can get a Cheki with the bandmembers”
considering the amount of weave they wear alone, I imagine they do everything that a vk act does to bring in the coin… it’s a working business model and a way to bond with stans.
Exactly. Like I said in my previous post id buy it straight away if they made their live limited releases available in the webshop. But the problem is because they often dont the only way you can get them without going to the show (which let’s face it isnt always going to be possible due to life things…) whether you live in Japan or not is to find them from other sellers who ramp up the prices like crazy + proxy fees all added on top just makes it not an appealing idea. So yeah, for me bottom line is, just sell it in the webshop, thatd be fine. Haha.
There is also a lot of money that goes to the seller and not to the band. I mean in case they are not the ones who sell it for exorbitant prices second hand. That would be evil but I would respect it as clever business trick.
I have actually wondered before if some artists do actually do that…
They do. KISAKI has been confirmed to do it.
I don’t get why they don’t just sell live limited stuff on their website for a cost that would make up for people potentially not spending as much at their lives? I’m sure it would be a ridiculous price but that way at least it’s available to people that just can’t go to their lives, I mean if it’s going to cost a ton either way I’d rather the money actually go to the band rather than scalpers, and I’m sure it would still attract people to their lives because they could get it for so much cheaper.
I don’t know japanese laws, but if you want to avoid taxes, you shouldn’t use online transactions. I think, this is the clue.
I honestly believe that some bands actually do sell excess copies online but only if the release doesn’t sell out at lives which is uncommon or rare. When bands do this it’s mostly to make money for the band as mentioned above. Which is a fair thing. In some cases these releases are put on albums/singles later on but in other cases they aren’t.
They did this with …To Be Or Not To Be and BEFORE COMMON ERA. It’s the only reason why I have copies. After the show for the BCE release Issei had a decent box or two of copies he posted on Twitter.
I bought six
Lol I remember depositing a few dollars into my account that I had managed to find around my house just so I’d have enough to buy …To Be Or Not To Be when it first released because I was afraid of potentially not being able to hear it.
What’s wild is that I’ve only seen six copies of this for sale…
I’m sure the big part this video is rerecorded version from CD. I don’t think that was necessary but i like it.
This sounds basically how I expected it to sound. How cool would it be if they hired professionals and made re-recordings with good production?
Was Uta’s bass always so crunchy in the opening?
And what happens to the sound around 3:30?
That would be the best thing tbh. The production for the guys is something that really does let these guys down. Could be wrong but I believe Issei is the main producer?? If that is true it does kinda show in the sense that the drums (and vocals i guess) are the only things that sound half decent. Guitars, bass and even some of the synths just sounds blehhhhh. I cant remember which song it was but remember on DIMLIMs VARIOUS, there was one song where even the drums sounded horrendous too. A shame because that (collection of) mini album was top tier and honestly, musically and production wise (except the one fault mentioned above) is better than anything NAZARE have done. They are still good though dont get me wrong.
One? There’s at least three tracks that fit and I have no idea which one you’re talking about (Aharewata, MASSACRE, and Shouchou)
I’d have to say MASSACRE sounds the worst of them all, so my head-canon is that this is the one you refer to. I wonder if that in some part or whole influences Issei to push the drums up in the mix for NAZARE.
