So done with this band now lmao maybe they’ll release something that doesn’t require you to be in Japan on a specific day at a specific time to hear it, despite a plethora of ways to release music being available. Issei has told us he doesn’t care, and neither do I.

I wouldn’t mind the limited live releases if eventually they got a real release. I like their sound, but I always forget they exist cause their music is uber inaccessible

Re-recordings can be in one way pretty charming but has the recordings of Nazare really at any point improved enough to justify an actual re-recording.
One lesson I have learned in my time as VK fan to never trust unpluggeds. MIDI hells or simply completely uninspired.

Im with you on that tbh. I get most of their stuff either from their official web store or on the rare occasion something can be purchased for a decent pruce second hand. But is like every time they release something new there is almost no hype (for me) about it because its just like, oh its live limited again which means itll be a pain in the arse to get so probably wont even bother looking. Its a weird situation as i kinda feel like the band has an oddly lurking presence… Like they dont throw themselves out there but they are still there nonetheless almost like some ofnthese weird cult bands where its like, you just HAVE to know where to look to find anything about them. Like theres this hazy area they sit in between being a successful VK act and being some obscure band who are just “there”.

I’ll let you know if/when I receive it.

Yeah their sound and music is basically the same as in 2020. 無慈悲な蒼空 is one of my favourite songs of their’s so I am a little interested but I imagine the interest will die as soon as I hear it

I am really wondering why Nazare even care to perform overseas, when their way to release music seems to be a clear sign that they give a fuck about anyone outside of Japan

Issei told me they make more money on a cd than releasing it digitally.

It makes sense given the current state of music at the moment.

This doesn’t justify locking out every single person outside of Japan from buying the CD, and even Japanese people to some extent, as not every Japanese fan can make it to the show. I would still be importing their stuff right now as I love them but I’m so sick of waiting for CDs to appear on auction sites and then having to pay exorbitantly high prices for music that might even be sub-par. I don’t completely disregard the concept of live-limited releases, some scenarios I don’t mind, but when you’re locking entire albums behind shows and auction sites I don’t understand how you think that’s a good long term marketing strategy.

Did NEMOPHILA not sell well? I pre-ordered that album because I was actually able to purchase their music for once but now they’re back to doing this.

I also find a lot of flaws in releasing stuff digitally, I don’t mind artists wanting to be physical only and I’ll even cheer them on but this is not the way.

A lot of the views on my channel come from Japan, so you’re on to something there.

Yes probably true. But wouldnt they make MORE money if they made their releases more available?? In other words not live limited? If this was in their webshop id have bought it straight away so thats one sale they arent going to get because even IF I do end up getting it, itll be through someone else on Mercari or something.

sales might go up but dunno, I would imagine that the whole organising the shipping and transport into other countries adds further cost I could imagine they don’t seem as worth, including the hassle of organising the shippings alongside it. I am as well annoyed by the amount of live limited releases and so on. But I am sure they have a tactic already, and with how their outlived Dimlim it definitely seems to work out for them.

The amount their stuff costs that more than covers overseas postage. Haha.

And yeah but I think its pretty clear Retsu was one of the main reasons for the demise of DIMLIM. Haha.

live dist only → pulling people to attend the lives and buy the CD (and maybe some merch, idk if they sell cheki)

unless their western fans are fine with purchasing several type releases (which seem to be slowly going away anyway) or ordering more than just music CDs every time, idt they will open foreign sales up because hiring staff to handle international shipping is probably out of their budget.
if they sign to a bigger label, they might reconsider their sales model, but idt they’ll really do it given mio’s past mental health issues which i would imagine the record label pressure over there will make worse.

Issei once said that he don’t like goverment and i believe this type of distribution is to avoid to pay taxes (i guess)

Always happy to see them release new music as they’re one of my favorite bands but for fucks sake another live limited… I really do wish I could support them better financially but as a broke loser I know my opinion on such things is irrelevant. Just want to thank God their music usually ends up online one way or another as it’s a huge help to me getting through the days.

Makes a lot of sense, but how much money/effort would it cost them to release Jingai -Force Edition- on Spotify with all the tracks they’ve released in the last year?

Aww thanks
