But do you guys think it is ok to be this “horny” in an official photoshot for your band? I mean it looks like something that should be happening in someone’s home… and not infront of a camera for a band. Or is my hot take too harsh?

it have always been like that, What i remember the most beside ( obviously ) Music, it’s obviously fanservices, BDSM elements in the outfits, and those damn pom pom shorties that every member wore at a moment of his career ( Bou, Kanon, Uruha, Iori, MiA, Shuutaro etc )

Something that set Mejibray apart was that all the members had a distinctly different appearance almost as if they came from different bands. It doesn’t always work to a band’s advantage, but in their case all of them came off as stars and I I think it must’ve contributed to their early momentum especially in the online sphere. Even though Drugs isn’t necessarily going for that, I am supportive of the differentiation between the members and doing something different – almost no matter what it is since the scene is all but buried under all bands riding the same wave neon-colored metalcore monotony. Liplich was coming from the left-field and I think Wataru’s gimmick in the shoot and in the PV is somehow, to me, a natural extension of that aloofness and just great in general.
Now all they’ve got to do is deliver with the music…

Well, we have seen much more skin already. Nightmare’s Sakito was only dressed with his guitar and a scraf for a magazine photo shot. Gackt and his Fried chickenz guys made a tour photo book with sex positions, there are some many pictures of Penicillin’s Haukei barely wearing cloth 
have you seen Jiluka’s Sena? Me and a friend were joking we did not recognized him when he wore a normal amount of cloth.

He’s literally a shibari artist, who also happens to play bass for a band called DRUGS. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect him to behave any other way

I’m positively surprised and I can’t help feeling that what I wrote above came true. Instead of laying out a big, chunky riff and a chorus and calling it a day, it’s shifting and moving around over its elementary parts, which is giving it almost this spontaneous and improvisational quality; and it’s not just Taizu’s and Wataru’s musicianship that’s doing that, but also Tsuzuku completely owning his brand getting after notes and sounds nobody else is going to. There’s still ways to go before I’d hedge my bets on them, but so far from the way I’m looking at it, they’re on the right track.

Oh yeah give me that pure thrashy, raw nu-metal sound. Looking forward to the rest of their releases.
