But if you would review the whole song what rating would you give it? In say the x out of /10 format.
Others who read the thread, I see you all! What is your opinion on the song? Is it a banger for you? Or a bit disappointing?
Well, for a band that is called DRUGS this is definitely a 7/10 effort. For any other vk band it’s more of a 4/10. It gives so much of early 2000 DEG that it can’t be ignored.
The make you think about early DeG? In what way if i may ask?

Not a big fan of Tsuzuku’s vocals in general, but I like that song. It’s raw in a good way and yeah, it does have nu-metal vibes.
I’d say the resemblance to other vk with this one begins and ends in the fact that it’s going all the way back to KoRn for its primary influences. The rest are tsuzuku’s usual vocal melodies that you could’ve heard in a Mejibray B-side for example.
Second single is absolute shit but fun to listen to.
Really digging this single and absolutely love tsuzuku/genki has been one of my favorite vocalist since his VanessA days. I like that he isn’t shy to play around with his voice, sure it may not fit the song to some people’s liking but it’s just fun. (Like that Blaze song, it was odd at first but it was kind of refreshing to hear)

First listen made me think of Vulgar era DEG. Sounds like a bad b side: chaotic, nu metal riffs + bad tzk vocals. Not a bad thing tho, I’m all for 2000s nu metal kei. I’d love if it resembled more of early MUCC tho 
Getting a more frantic MUCC/DEZERT, DEG flirted with numetal yes but them being tuned to drop c# doesn’t give me numetal the same way as MUCC who were playing drop b/a tunings very early on.

Don’t know about those openings vocals, but I am here for the unpolished feel of it. On first listen, it sounded like a couple of different motifs strung together. Not a terrible thing, but definitely not super refined yet.
I’m still kinda caught up on the idea of them selling out a show and already doing two look shoots before they’ve even made a full release. It’s hard for me to get hype off a band with only 2 songs. But we’ll see

I think these first few singles are going to be them testing the waters. Tzk in my opinion hasn’t really put out the best material after mejibray kicked the bucket. So far it still looks promising tho.

By chance, I’ve never listened to any bands with this vocalist, despite him being pretty popular.
I’m not sure I’m digging the higher notes and weird sounds he hits. I like the sound of the band. The guitar and drums do something pretty interesting on most tracks, but I’m still not 100% sold.
