Is it just me? Or does a band with one guitarist have the tendency to sound empty, or at least not as good as they should’ve been.
Seriously, other than maybe less payment cuts, what are the benefits of having one guitarist instead of two? Because some bands like Diaura or Xaa-Xaa would’ve improved tenfold by having a second guitarist.
There is no reason actually for them to not have two guitars play even without a second guitarist.
Unless the band doesn’t use any backtracks.
Checking out XaaXaa, they seem to use backtracks live, so yeah, they could just add the second guitar on that.
My fave band D’espairsRay had just one guitarist, so I am offend by this hot take 
I guess the more people, the more complicated it get’s to make decisions and the more conflicts can happen. Maybe some bands don’t find someone who fits into the group. I think for making music together, it is a little bit more important to get along than in accounting.

I’m in a band and we’ve had both one snd two guitarists. As far as studio work goes there is no problem having just one guitarist, both as a live band having two is about a thousand times better. The overall sound gets more massive, you can play harmonies, having Ruth guitarist beneath solos and leads, and whatnot. It worked well enough with one guitarist, but having two made us a million times better live.
But there are certain bands who work better with one guitarist, such as Venom and loads of punk and hardcore bands. But generally spesking I prefer two guitarists in live settings.

I think the biggest benefit one gets from a second guitarist comes from another head in the writing room. Any benefits of a second guitarist live can be replicated with backing tracks and a click. But there’s nothing that can replace having an extra mind to bounce ideas off of and add another flavor to a song that other members wouldn’t be able to bring to the table, as each musician is their own individual even in the context of a band

Call me weird, but I’d rather see a band with just one guitarist than backing tracks.
Eh. I’m more than fine with backing tracks if they aren’t the forward bits. Like when Spiritbox plays live, ambient and background guitar parts are piped in on backing tracks because they’re important to the overall presentation of the music, but Mike Stringer actually plays all of the up-front and critically important guitar lines live, and his parts are always the loudest in the FOH mix. Or similarly, Humanity’s Last Breath pipes backing tracks of guitar DI’s straight into the live guitar rigs for certain parts, like the reverse whomp hits on the guitars in something like Labyrinthian
As long as the parts aren’t being faked (unless that’s the point like Golden Bomber) and the band is having fun putting on a good show, I don’t really care about backing tracks lol

I think that the vkei fans on tiktok are… how do i put this? Too sensitive, 2020 tiktok made everyone wayyy too sensitive. Ive seen numerous rumors been created about yuriko from kaneto juusei, whenever i hear about them i just plant my hand in my face because how the hell do people get this shit? The first rumor about him saying hes going to get r worded in india was just for me “ok? And?” And then the second one about him being a shota con because he made a joke on his insta story just made me lose hope in the tiktok vkei community. But recently ive seen a new rumour which just wants to make me delete all my socials atp, Apparently yuriko went on a date with a 14 year old? I asked the person who said where they got their info from and they said “idk i heard someone say it” which just pains me. Already the first two rumours aren’t even that bad from what most band men do but then to just make up an accusation of pedophilia? Nah, just bc you dont like a band-men doesn’t mean you should pull out random ass rumours from your ass

Yeah so Yuriko has tweeted about the India thing, and also that he got a black taxi driver which made him scared to get in the car. He deleted both tweets after getting backlash from Western fans.
That “dating a 14 y/o” is new to me, haven’t seen that one yet at all.
Also now Chill is getting hate? I thought they all loved him, but now he’s creepy?

This is not a hot take. This is just a very true observation. I think it is not just tiktok and vk tho. There is a whole generation of teens who learned words like “toxic”, “abusive” or “fetishization” and throw them around at every occasion. I left twitter because teens discovered our niche horror fandom and found everything we did in fanwork was morally wrong but the cannibalism in the show was alright

As much as I try to embrace & understand current trends, I have come to one very firm conclusion:
Tiktok bad. The entire platform. Throw it all out including the bathwater. so vk tiktok probably is bad! But I’d have to agree it’s not limited there lol.

What’s sad is that bandmen are reacting to what these two dozen or so people who don’t go to lives or buy any of the releases are saying on social media platforms. It was better in my day, when weebs were segregated away from the musicians themselves except for those who paid the initiation price and went to Japan and learned the language…

Japanese VK bandmen are apparently incredible in bed. I read this blog about a japanese woman who loves VK and has dated two VK bandmen. One from a smaller band and one famous person that probably most people in here know about. She went all out on her blog with the details, and pics with them together (of course normal pics with clothes on), but the point is that she didnt lie. She said they were “playing in a different dimension” compared to normal guys she had dated before, when it came to the sex. She wrote she can’t have sex with normal guys anymore since she experienced the VK bandmen.
This surprised me alot. I could never guess that VK guys are that good and wild in bed.
There is a whole world of fuck stories about bandomen. I have only read a bit from an infamous tumblr blog that did translations of such stories … and let me tell you there was a lot of creepy stories and not really evidence that bandomen are incredible in bed… apart from kyo who seems to be the king of fingering 
Take everything with a grain of salt because even photos together are not real evidence for sex. I have a nice picture with one member of Blu-Billion, sadly no sex was involved.
