The band gets fairly/unfairly hated on, I’ve said my fair share of both support and criticism to them as well. But they do have some solid stuff early on, they just go to overboard with the moaning and forget what an actual song is.
“People hate k-pop” “people hate the stans” “people hate the…blabla”…
I am so happy I can enjoy any kind of music. I can go from vibing to Tsumi to Kisei, follow it up by AKB48’s Aitakatta, Avenged Sevenfold’s Exist, David Bowie’s Modern Love, FTisland’s Cloud, then why not Brand of Sacrifice’s Lifeblood? etc. Who cares what anyone would think about your taste if you like the song? Maybe you call this growing up. I think people would feel more happiness in their lives to not care so much people/strangers think about this and that, let them judge you etc. Peace!
I guess you made a good point in here
‘Does this band use AI’ is becoming even more annoying than the ‘is this band problematic’ newcomer questions.
Reddit? XD
Exactly, like personally it feels like ppl just hate on new vkei cause it’s not when they “grew up on” or wtv. Ppl say the music quality went down and that’s why it’s dieing, but honestly the music is just different and most ppl can’t exept change
so they use that as an excuse to not listen to new bands and it’s irritating
Are we ready to admit that THE LAST ROCKSTARS was kind of a flop?
Brother, I thought that from the first single lol
Hello??? You deny the genius of “Bigidi Bigidi Bang Bang”
Also they still got 9K monthly Spotify listeners, that’s more than a lot of indie bands have
Edit: that one song sounds worse than I remember, wow, that aged like milk
flop and crap. I did that joke a million times but JVM deserves this title more. Damn, even Karasu which was a one time thingy were more dope than whatever that nightmare was. Sad that Sugizo had to be enrolled into the whole thing.
wrong topic
I’d argue that this is the correct topic because the opinion that THE LAST ROCKSTARS was a flop is indeed unpopular.
the way i bought a ticket to their first show because I KNEW they were gonna disappear into the void in 6 months…
i was thinking the same thing honestly, i played the fuck out of lastica ![]()
I get the “androgynous” part of vkei history but for the love of God can we please stop with the fishnets, garters, and leather booty shorts? Whats so wrong with dressing like lynch and DeG where its dark but still beautiful? I don’t want to see middle aged japanese men having their cheeks hanging out (Mao and Mizuki please stop”
Also, i’m tired of a song being absolutely sick and then the chorus is a different key and disjointed where it sounds like a completely different song. Examples from the same band, hitoributai from xanvala is a great song that flows, DROID is catchy but the chorus smacks you like a truck.
Also heavy/great bands but the vocalist aint great at cleans ( i love unsraw, KTK, and am kinda into DRUGS but the cleans ruin it)

i feel you on this!! i can’t tell you how many times i’ve had this exact thought – all that buildup. You’re munching on delicious appetizers, but they honestly just whet your appetite. You’re waiting for that hot, delicious, fatty main chorus. And then they serve you the leanest nothingburger chorus ever. Needless to say, I’m still enjoying the song though, because I’m easy to please.
I know!!! So much suspense only to switch to the most generic and forgettable chorus in existence. Why? Exactly the same with Japanese movie trailers. They really like to destroy their buildup and suspense with shallow pop songs at the end.
-Hazuki’s solo stuff is nothing but left over Lynch tracks blended with some pretty generic “original” tracks. The orchestra live he did was dope though.
-JILUKA or however the fuck they spelt, sounds like Nocturnal Bloodlust dialed up to a 10 in the worst ways. That style of metal straight up sounds like noise. Salute to them for breaking out here in the states. But nah…
-It’s been hard for me to seriously get into Sukekiyo. Great lineup of musicians, and their first batch of joints are some of my favorite. But I also get hella pretentious vibes from their stuff, especially around the 3rd Album, which is where I really felt disconnected.

i wish he’d do more orchestra lives, that soundtrack was amazing. would love to hear more orchestra covers from him
