Everybody seems to be able to describe very detailed what they like or dislike about a Band/album/song … but I don’t feel like I can jugde if a melody is too simple or a riff is uninspired…I just vibe with a song or not… 
am I doing it wrongly???
Music is art and art is subjective. Enjoy it however you like! Your feelings don’t require a technical description, just simply feeling joy and excitement toward something you like is enough.
You feel the same way I felt 2 years ago and kind off still today 
There is no right or wrong in something in something that is subjective.
Maybe you could try and participate on a trade off in the future, reading and writing reviews can help a lot to get a feeling on how to describe music or to pick up on things musical wise.
