The pillows were one of the first Jrock bands I listened to it. How sad.
I feel like for a lot of millennials FLCL was one of their first anime in their teens and the pillows were part of the soundtrack of their lives whether they realized it or not.
I started learning Japanese because of Dir en Grey and Reol (the name will probably never be uttered again in the Jrock One forum), and I honestly think it’s entirely worth it. I read Dir en Grey translations before, but for some lyric heavy artists it feels like a need. It’s such a weird cultural feeling because it kinda feels like changing my life because it’s kinda like trying to connect with the culture and art through that (REALLY absorbing and exploring the nuance in what I grew up with, like video games. Final Fantasy is so insane to read in its native language because the sheer Western and Japanese influence becomes so much more obvious and insane to absorb), and it can be so worth it albeit incredibly jarring. Generally most of the bands I like seem to have high quality, so it’s so interesting.
You never know about that
Some of us are listening to japanese music past Vkei
This is SO cool!! ![]()
No, I put an evil spell on the forums, that’s why. Now anyone with the thought mysteriously drops their phone seconds before hitting send and gets amnesia…
Damn, that’s gatekeeping on another level![]()

not @CAT5 suddenly reminding me that i spent a lot of my childhood wishing i was aisha clan-clan from outlaw star lol
Ayyyye Aisha Clan-Clan was dope!!! I loved that series!
Last weekend a man attacked his wife and two little kids with a knife and I happened to be quite close to the scene of the event. The son died, the woman and her daughter are in a hospital, but thankfully their life is not in danger anymore.
The hotel we were staying was in close proximity and you could see the street where the attack happened from the breakfast room as it was on a high floor.
We fortunately did not see the incident itself, the noises did not reach the floor.
But the sudden commotion when police, ambulance and a helicopter (who flew frightening close to the window) arrived was impossible to miss. Lots of people rushed to the window, wondering what happened. Most people thought it must have been a car crash.
As it is not that big of a city, everybody knew quickly who exactly the victims and the culprit were.
Obviously, you always know that something like this could happen to anyone. But the combination of being close to the crime scene and that they are so similar (and I mean in more ways than them being “white”) to the people in my sphere kinda hits different.
eyes hurting
I’m gonna miss Kyo while he’s doing his mandatory military service ![]()

Sometimes I remember that the Galneryus album Vetelgyus is the absurd corruption of the star “Betelgeuse” that they somehow landed on, and…man that shit haunts me in the quiet hours
I think it would be fun to have a kpopone forum. A place where we can wreck biases by posting kawaii Jrock boyz.
No, it’s good!!
I’d keep it this way ![]()
