RAZOR will release a best-of album titled 「五枚刃」on 17th February 2021. It will cost 3,500 yen (+taxes). All old songs will be remastered/remixed for this release and one new song will be released called PRIMARY.

NEW WORLD is their live-dist song from earlier this year. And PRIMARY is not a new song, it’s a new take.

Yup. None of these are new songs. Interested to here the new takes on them tho. New world didnt sound bad when i heard it on YT.

The remaster of Born’s Abnormal Head Machine was good so there might be a little bit of hope for this one

there should be a version without DVD.
The content of the DVD is uninteresting and just increases the costs without really adding anything.

I don’t understand their concept about [BEST OF], these are actually just their [SINGLES / LEAD SONGS] collection,
some of their B-sides sounds so much better than the lead songs… just saying.

Listened to my copy today. It’s basically a collection of singles and lead tracks from their EPs, with their recent live-dist single thrown on top and a retake of PRIMARY. They might have remastered a couple of the older tracks but I can’t be too sure after a single listen.

As a long-time fan who already owns all their music it’s a little disappointing content-wise (the DVD is an unnecessary money-grab; music videos - which almost all of these songs have - would have been better). However, for a newcomer I can’t recommend it enough. RAZOR have so many bangers and while there’s some great stuff to be found in B-sides and album fillers the singles are an excellent place to start.

Sounds a little disappointing. I was quite interested in hearing the remastered tracks because I always thought their tracks would sound super good with better mixing/mastering
Still a really good tracklist for beginners or people catching up I guess though

Is there any official information regarding a release on iTunes, Deezer or Spotfy? Or can it only be purchased through CDJ?

It will be available in the japanese iTunes Store tomorrow:

Maybe it will be also available for oversea fans but I couldn’t find any information about it.

Album out now on digital services (though it appears some aren’t up yet)

Yes it’s mostly available for digital purchase, ototoy has it too (in case anyone is interested in lossless) and apple iTunes for international as well.

Currently not available for stream (yet?)
