RAZOR - SAMURAIソードMAN

Mostly because late born after kifumi left sounded different and more like razor. That’s why ultimately he prob ended up scraping the band cuz of the amount of years he put in plus his direction changed which is what I assumed happened.

I love this man’s voice but everything he’s in just sounds like him. I’m guessing that the filter over his voice is an attempt to change that, because he doesn’t need it, but it ends up an electronic pop rock track because he’s involved. Just watching his trajectory from RENNY AMY to this is fascinating. He’s essentially been chasing the same dragon since RED DESIRE, except RAZOR managed to get over the wall and get some good funding. The music video is gorgeous and their look is superb.

And also keep in mind BORN/D&L/RENNY AMY was around since 2006, so around DOGMA was perhaps the most influential of their shifts because Ryouga hasn’t stopped going after this sound since. Earlier BORN sounded nothing like this, later BORN sounds like an uncomfortable prototype of RAZOR.

Yea id have to agree between the releases of felony → DOGMA has the rise of their popularity with DOGMA being the height of their popularity/era then afterwards still releasing good stuff. Once kifumi announces this his hiatus from the band its kinda slowly goes down hill from there in my opinion. Perfect example is the SATISFACTION? release. Ill be honest i only like 1 track on that release. Then they moved to Son of a bitch release my most disliked release of all the born discography. Ill be honest some late born song aren’t bad but it doesn’t hit the same way it did before kifumi was apart of the band. THE STALIN -666- was that weird middle release that i actually kinda liked mostly cuz it some of it still had that that born flare to it. When i first heard Haritsuke i was like YES we need more of this. There were select few songs i liked after Devilish of the punk but not a crazy amount.

SATISFACTION?

Son of a bitch

You guys are getting me curious to properly check these guys out.

This is the first time since RAZOR came out that I’m listening to these old BORN tracks and I honestly forgot what Ryouga sounded like in that era. It makes me reminiscent. I was tracking them since RENNY AMY/D&L and I always thought he had a great voice, but I got disinterested in BORN after a few years. I need to go back and reinvest some time in their discography again.
