[Rumors] Give me the global Tea

hate electric callboy so much, can’t put it in words actually

What? why?

Have a look at their lyrics, especially the older ones. Making a song about how horny it makes you to have sex with someone in front of their child isn’t cool, even when you’re trying to be an edgy metal clown band. Neither is using the f slur. And I’m aware that they made these songs like 10 years ago, but they still have these songs up on streaming services and sell the CDs, so I guess they don’t distance themselves from that really. Also they were in their mid 20s when they wrote this, not 12.
Corresponding to that their fanbase (especially the ones who listened to them back then already) mostly consists of edgelords.

Besides the awful lyrics I find them very very overrated and I think their music is very bland and repetitive. Sounds like schlager metal to me. Music for people who are too cool for Mallorca but whose only intention it is to get drunk at concerts/festivals.

Like I said, just my personal opinion on them.

I don’t know where you see them having those songs still online or selling the CDs. Feel free to elaborate though, if want to or needs it.

In regards of everything else I will point to this

Dude… You’re part of the Visual Kei fandom… You listen to Dir en Grey …

Otherwise for me personally, I am looking forward to the song, and I am also gonna be curious if Babymetal will give us more collabs like that.

Like 3 months ago all of them were still on streaming services.

I read that back then when they published it and it’s pretty fabricated. They only noticed how bad their lyrics were after like 10 years? And what their name stands for? And they are suddenly aware of it and realize that it’s bad only a few weeks before they applied for the NF of ESC? Bit of a big coincidence. I’m pretty sure that was the labels decision, not a genuine change of mind.

So? I’m aware that Dir en grey lyrics are pretty explicit, but the approval of pedophilia is a line even they did not cross. Also only being a fan doesn’t mean I approve of everything Dir en grey does, quite the opposite actually.

And like I said, my main point is that I just think their music is bad, bland and their lyrics are 5edgy3me and their fans appear to be the same kind of edgelords.

(But again: Just my personal opinion, I’m aware that many people might be fine with these lyrics and their behavior. Also quite off topic actually.)

Yanno, i was wondering why these guys gave me the ick, and im glad to see my worries weren’t unfounded. Cheers, Kuma.

We are a site that usually concentrates on japanese music of course, but sometimes we can’t get past rumors or drama from international bands, especially not when more japanese bands are collaborating or working with international acts.

You got a problem with an international act? You heard some good tea? Leave it out here.

If anyone feels like condensing the Escuela Grind sitch, that’d be great.

I don’t know the band, but there is a loud wire article on it

Not sure if that helps anything
