And yeah, the song could’ve had a bit more ‘oomph’ as a comeback song, but it’s not terrible.
Maybe if this was the first thing they came back with instead of three solid remake albums it would’ve done something for me, but I find that this one plays it a bit too safe. Still happy to have new material though.
NOOOOOOOO This was what I was thinking lol. I still love Sadie but I think if they need some new music, they should look at some of the stuff that thethirteen released. 2 of the members maybe, Tsurugi and Kei, are still more working with other band activities and maybe it seems like Mao, Mizuki and Aki are putting in the time for Sadie? I do like Razor also though… man that’s toguh
Aki is pretty busy himself, he’s supporting Asagi (with certain stops covering a huge chunk of discography)and his other side projects, Bluevine and Nana are also moving at a fairly regular pace.
Anyways @ the song I think feels like a warmup for now. Bass is finally chonkier (@ Mr Trackmaker if you’re reading this it’s all love) but I think in general most vkei bands at this veteran stage can afford to take weirder directions, though I’m also fairly aware that, that takes a whole-of-band effort to embrace experiments. You can do it, Sadie!
Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Everyone is doing things but only 3 are really involved in trying to make sadie great again it seems from the tweet from Ryo. Hopefully Kei and Tsurugi start putting more time into sadie also if they aren’t. That could also be why there was only a single compared to another album after a year. Unless they all just want to take it slow.
I never took Ryo’s comment to suggest Tsurugi and Kei have put less time into the band than the other members. Of course, we don’t know for sure.
Kei has a small fashion label and a small YouTube channel, but I mean small. Besides supporting Aki’s solo work, his involvement in music revolves around Sadie.
