Yeah, live doesn’t necessarily mean unprocessed, lots a good engineer can do to shape sound even live
But i never thought/meant either were bad vocalists - the opposite; i thought their early albums sound that way bc that’s the sound of skilled and stylistic vkei vocalists without the usual processing applied

Also I stand corrected that Aku no Hana the title song is new. Can’t wait to hear the previews.
Blue Irony is one of my all time favourite. I’m surprised they don’t seem to play it live, let alone have a recorded live version of it. THE BULLET STORM is probable their best mini album in their early career. Anyway, I’m looking forward to listening to this new single.

Well this was pretty mid because of the terrible mixing.
The whole song feels like something with high energy waiting to break out but despite building up the expectations it never happens. The vocals completely lack the dynamic range or what and the screams are so quiet that they feel powerless, like a 16 year old metalhead’s first attempt.

A relatively likable song, but they’ve done much better. In fact, I wouldn’t have been surprised if this track had ended up on a The THIRTEEN album. It really sounds like Mao and Mizuki’s band here.

On the new song, I’m unimpressed. Sounds like a Sadie song, but is not memorable enough to be a comeback single.

It’s a Sadie song through and through. I don’t think that’s a bad thing…just maybe not super exciting because it’s such a predictable and familiar sound.
The first part of that middle soft break was an unexpected treat though. I thought I accidentally turned on a Rentrer en Soi song, like wow. Would love for them to try that sound but for an entire track.
