I am beyond pleased with everything on the first half of the LP. Madara has fucking WINGS now. Jealousy still hits. Setsugekka has new life, as well.
Man, Sadie is BACK.

Yeah, after listening to the back half, a lot of the songs that were once forgettable are now a bit more flavorful. This is the weakest of the three re-releases, but it is STILL fun to listen to, and is generally a pretty easy listening experience.
Fuck HOWLING forever though. That song sucks.

As someone who is discovering Sadie through these re-releases, I’m having a blast! Bleach is dope man.
Side-bar, but the intro/guitar riff thing of METEOR is damn nearly identical to another vkei song, but I can’t put my finger on it, anyone has any idea what it might be?

liking it very much!!! I found myself getting genuinely surprised at some songs like Ai no Wana, Madara, Meteor and singing along lol
Mao is expanding his vocal range, and personally, I don’t dislike it. I always liked the messy mixing/sound of some of the songs when they first came out, and I think I can listen to both versions without any problem. I also agree, the saxophone in bleach was a wtf moment, but clever re-interpretation of the original synths.

Finally got my copy of this, and I’m pretty happy with it.
Lots of songs I hate on here (bleach, Ai no Wana, DEAD END, METEOR), but some of the best songs in their discography (Setsugekka, Rain fall, Madara, Jealousy).
Madara and Setsugekka sound particularly strong in this iteration. Even THE REQUIEM is harder hitting than the original.
I am happy to report, it’s even turned me over on a few I never thought I’d like in their original incarnations (mukuro, bleach, METEOR, HOWLING).
DEAD END will always be shit though.
Hoping we finally hear some NEW Sadie now. C’mon guys.
