About the Band:
SC⅄LA [she-luh ]is a 5 piece metalcore band from Nagoya, Japan comprising members from around the world.
The name SC⅄LA was inspired by the mythological sea creature Scylla, a maiden cursed by a god and perfectly matches the band’s sound that features monstrous intensity, while still embodying the essence of humanity - the beauty and the struggle we all face - within the meaning of the songs.
The “Y” in SC⅄LA is written upside down to depict “人” the Kanji for “person” in Japanese, in reflection of this sentiment.
