I’m looking for advice on how to promote a Portuguese underground band that will be touring Japan for the first time in March and April 2025. The band plays a mix of distorted garage art-rock with a DIY ethos, and they’re known for their high-energy, disruptive live performances. The tour will span 15+ dates across a variety of venues, including more intimate spots.
I’m hoping to get some guidance on the best ways to connect with the Japanese underground and alternative music scenes. What are the most effective ways to promote this type of music to Japanese fans? Are there any online magazines, music blogs, or social media channels that are particularly effective for reaching this audience?
Additionally, if anyone has tips on press outreach, collaborations, or events in Japan that could help boost the band’s presence, I’d greatly appreciate it.
