I’ve been listening to SUICIDE ALI’s Gyoushounin no Kaiga again (Goshi’s vocals are just spendid here) while its almost 8 minutes were passing quickly for me since it’s just that good and I was wondering what songs made you feel this way. I think something above 6 minutes is considered quite long.
A few other of the many examples include Kneuklid Romance’s At last for you (Ballad) of 8 minutes long, La’miss†fairy’s Dress of almost 7 minutes and La:Sadie’s Lu:Ciel of 9+ minutes. There’s something wonderful about 90s-early 2000s VK ballads that makes them feel like a trip each time I listen to them. The longer, the better.
Brought this one up so many times, but merry-gekisei / 15 min , super long song but you go thru so many emotions while listening to it that you don’t feel how long it is. Or maybe I say that because I love this song so so much, which would then apply to every comment on this thread lol
Talking about Suicide Ali, I should create a thread to ask about the only song I know about them but that I couldn’t find for the life of me after more than a hour of research on Youtube
cheating a bit by sharing a live performance rather than studio version which is shorter, but this performance of World’s end by TMGE is much fun to listen to that you don’t feel the 7 minutes
Which song of SUICIDE ALI is it? It’s true some if not more songs of them aren’t uploaded on YouTube (we can change that though). And you can definitely check more of their songs out! They’re one of the most characteristic Japanese bands for me.
That song of MERRY definitely didn’t feel like 15 minutes! It has everything. I haven’t listened much of them and it seems I should. Their vocalist has a distinct voice. I love the cracking of it. Their music kind of reminds me of LIPHLICH, which I very much like.
i came upon this song randomly one day and loved it. I didn’t know who this band was and I gave them a chance but have not liked any other song from them
I used to listen to it at least once a week on my commute to work so that probably helped with the run time. it doesn’t necessarly feel short but the diferent changes it has makes it basically feel like 4 songs just clipped together and helps not making it feel so repetitive and boring like for example Art of Life from X Japan with that unnecessary piano solo killing the whole mood of the song
“PHOENIX” by GREEN MILK FROM THE PLANET ORANGE, which sits at 13:05 mins.
This is one of those songs that hit on so many different levels for me - from the wild, spastic drumming, the dynamic guitar work to the raw, punkish vocals. I enjoy it so much that the time just flies by.
Really, all of the songs on this ep would fit the bill, as the shortest song on it is 9 mins and the longest is about 20 minutes. All of them are engaging with fantastic energy throughout.

it’s not this one. once again destiny is showing me how unlucky I am. After a last resort research, I think the song i’m looking for is Enzai but can’t find the release nowhere be it on Youtube spotify or deezer lol But i literally listened to all their other songs so if it’s not this one, then I might have just imagined it
I can’t really comment on this as I’ve only listened to and liked DECADANCE -Counting Goats… if I can’t be yours- and now Anemone thanks to you, but I think I’d also like a few others if I actually gave them a more throughout listen.
