Songs that made you (almost) cry

What are j-rock/vk songs that made you cry or close to crying. It can also be a special occasion like a particular live or a particular recording of the song.

What was it that made you emotional? The lyrics, The Situation (last live of a band for example), the trembling in the vocalist’s voice, it reminds you of something sad?

Forever Love from X-Japan made me cry for diffrent reasons. Ifirst heard it as the ending song for the X/1999 movie and the sad end in addition to this song an me being a teenager made me cry. It also make me cry every time I see the last live version. Even more now that I now of Toshi’s condition at the time. And of course it made me cry to see Toshi sing it at hide’s funeral.

And than there is Dir en Grey’s Zakuro live version from the Blitz 5 Days. It’s just how Kyo delivers it. Painfully, full of despair screaming …

Found the lyrics in Japanese and then translated that plus my friend Spanish verison I was in tears having to write an analyse of the song and music video for a very odd project in class

Yamibi by Luna Sea always gets me, and it’s not unheard of for me to be brought to tears by Le Ciel by MM

This makes me tear up because I just think that this is a really good performance, and I think Asagi’s voice sounds great here.

Crucify my Love - X-Japan, Kusatta umi de oborekaketeru boku wo sukuttekureta kimi - Kagerou, Kareuta and Miseinen - the GazettE, Kugatsu mikka no kokuin - MUCC are the ones coming to my mind instantly.
But I bet there are many more.

Mucc Danzetsu and Kaeranuhito.Both songs Miya wrote about his feelings when his dad passed away when he was young.Reading the lyrics always makes me want to cry esp the new verse in Kaeranuhito from Shin Homura Uta

ryuusei by mucc will always always make me cry. especially at the end when tatsu’s repeating the lyrics and it fades out. sometimes, i skip the song honestly LOL

Kimi to Ita Kisetsu by Nightmare really pulls on the heartstrings. It never made me cry. But I have played it while crying
