sukekiyo - DOMINUS

the video is horrible and the song isn’t good either. if they had a message they wanted to convey, they didn’t do a good job and wasted an excessive amount of energy for it. I guess we can fiddle to find some deeper meaning or messaging here but i don’t really see the point. I’m just sad multiple people decided this was the thing to release.

it sounds like a low energy cover of a Mindless Self Indulgence song

Yeah, honestly all the attemps to interpret something into it … feel like they just did something completely random but the viewers try to find deeper meaning when there was non. Like hanging a painting thats just paint splashed onto the paper, into an art gallery and watch people praise the deeper meaning.

HOW CAN YALL NOT SEE THE DEEP MEANING IN THIS!!???

Here, you can see that Kyo is CLEARLY warning us against the dangers of highly processed foods and consumer culture in general!

Masterful use of AI. Absolute genius.

y’know it’s not like we couldn’t create bizarre nonsensical but charged overwhelming imagery, even in video form, before 2020…

i’m forever gonna keep Miyazaki & Nintendo’s takes on genAI in my mind i guess

Update on the dislikes:

For comparison, likes stand at 922.

Updates in similar fashion through the next couple days. I see this being exceptionally divisive.

Let’s see, I have mixed feelings, as always.
On the one hand, I quite liked the song, although I would have liked something heavier, to hear Kyo scream more on “Kill My Mind” and more power on the guitar.

Now for the video…

First, does the AI want us to think it’s intentional? That it isn’t? I don’t know to what extent. I reject it, of course, but we had fun taking screenshots and seeing what’s coming out, what’s hidden in each frame.
Boring? Horrible? The worst MV I’ve ever seen, like Zeus said? No. I’m tired of watching music videos of a band with four shots in the same place, pretending to play and sing, and relying on the image to support the little money they’ve spent on the MV. Let’s remember those Kamijo music videos in Moulin Rouge or Yamiyo no Lion. I don’t want things like that either.
In a video, I’m looking to entertain myself, and this one did it.
As for pollution, well, let’s talk about plastic too. I’m not going to get all environmentalist because I’m one of those who’ve tried making images of cats in X.
Let’s put political ideologies aside, see if the artist has convinced us, and decide whether to spend the money on it or not. With that, we’ll know definitively if it will work or not.

Everything is said with this sentence “Kill my mind”. My brain melted while seeing and listening this PV. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

it isn’t about political ideology it’s about my eyes bleeding out of my skull & the aesthetic legacy of the Supreme Luxury Band being tarnished. Shit sucks. The song is not good either - I didn’t even sit and watch the video, just listened to the song on my headphones. Screenshots were enough. My reaction was purely from the song and the general aesthetic surrounding the release.
