The Brow Beat new album “生きる為に死にゆくのか、死にゆく為に生きるのか、誰の為に、何の為に自分は生きているのか、人生について少しだけ、深く本気で考えてみたらあまりにも、耐え難いほど辛くて悲しくて、誰かと自分を比べてしまう自分も大嫌いだし、慰めてもらう事なんて出来ないし、劣等感や孤独感なんて拭えないし、どうせこの先も地獄だ。そんな事は百も承知の上で、「人生ある程度テキトーで良いんだよ」って救われもしない浅い言葉で自分を奮い立たせて、奮い立たないんだけど、でも少しだけ心が軽くなるような、無いよりはマシかな、そうなれば良いな、という歌。” will be released at 2025/04/09.

Giving it a spin now and I am not very pleased with it. The other albums were good fun but I’m not feeling this too much. It has way too many classical music references and not as much Hakuei (and clearly not enough for me!) as the other albums. There also no stand out songs. Previous albums always had 2 or 3 but this one is just Ryuji doing his thing… fine

I get why Hakuei is being more active with Penicillin and machine now as he is even more in the background in this.

Edit: the last 2 songs really pick up but didn’t make up for the rest.
