THE LAST ROCKSTARS 2nd single "Psycho Love" release

I cant understand how this is the best all these talented people can come up with. Or its the senpai kouhai thing and they just have to say yes to everything yoshiki comes up with?
Would you guys guess its Yoshiki writing the songs? Or are they doing it together? Then its too many cooks in the kitchen because the result is so damn lame and weak

Really really disappointing stuff, to the point it kind of feels like a mindfuck to me. Somehow.

Isnt it also funny that the “instrumentals” mostly seem to be synth/techno stuff? Whats the need of a guitarist? I still dont understand this project…

Psycho Love was composed by Hyde. He just co-wrote the lyrics with Yoshiki.

Are you personally blown away by it?

dearest, you have about ten miyavi albums to catch up on if you still don’t get it

It’s all about business. If you listen to the worldwide top 50 Spotify there are almost no ‘real instruments’. So they just do what they believe is the most popular music. They don’t do music with their soul anymore.

I mean they have dedicated (super famous) members for guitar, bass etc… Still almost everything just sounds like Techno synths or whatever it’s called

That’s a error, yoshiki don’t know what a bass is

The bass in XY sounds great!

man the concept of grandpas making sexy faces while the wind blows in their faces makes me giggle ngl

I really thought yoshiki delusional mind would at least want to spend a little more on this project, get some drone open footages of them rocking on a cliff or smh, but dude really went all budget white room nonsense

The Rockstars are the attraction here

To be fair the guitars are there! It’s just overshadowed by the obnoxious amount of synth. But considering that the first two singles were recorded at the same time, I expected this kinda sound. Not bad, but I hope upcoming singles feature a bit more guitar.

I guess the value of these people today is not what they make, but what they are associated with. The music that they make is like their merch, objectively it’s bad, but it’s nice because they are the ones that made it. I enjoy The Last Rockstars because I LOVE band merch. I can queue up to 6 hours to get a t-shirt that I wouldn’t even look at if it was sold in a fashion store.

Agree i dont get it either i was also disappointed.

What I’m getting out of this data is that Yoshiki loves flying. Maybe he writes his lyrics on a plane?

Judging by Insta, he’s basically been living on Yoshiki Force One of late.

Man… This is shitkei of the highest tier LMAO
It was just really disjointed imo, because the guitar was drowned out by the synth that seemed pretty random at times, but this project is so wild that I can’t help but listen to their songs even if I haven’t liked a single one of their so far LOL

It’s like a modern Hyde solo song with that awful modern Miyavi guitar tone that sounds like a kazoo

Can’t remember what album his guitar started sounding like that but goddamn do I hate it
