THE LAST ROCKSTARS 2nd single "Psycho Love" release

So what do you all guys say? Did they succeed with this song and pv?

The song is a fail for me - the most generic type of dance-pop track possible. But we already knew it since they played this live…a year ago? or was it two? Hyde’s voice sounds shot.
As for the PV, it’s the same as the first PV… disjointed collage of the members acting “sexy” (?)…Yoshiki is pushing 60 and for all the make-up and plastic surgery, I’m not so sure it works for him.

By the way, Y’all have heard that the Miv is out of the band? So it’s dead for all intents and purposes (until Yoshiki hires Pata as a replacement, thus creating the new X-Japan he’s always wanted).

That’s barely rock

I like it. It’s super catchy and yes they are called “the last rock stars” but they are not bound by contract to only release rock music. It’s just a band name lol. We all know band names are bs anyway. Love the irony of the this being so pop-ish.

I mean sure, but they said it’s literally the concept of the band

“SUGIZO: These members have all thought that rock bands are glamorous, edgy and exciting and that was what brought us into this world. It has been 30 years since we started our careers, but when you look at the world, there aren’t that many rock bands that are glamorous and edgy, that sort of light a fire in our spirits, and have that kind of charisma… Rock has sort of become a quiet thing and receded. People go to school to learn rock and I’m just like “What are you talking about?”. Rock should be glamorous, and it is about to go extinct… Glamorous rock is about to go extinct. So, THE LAST ROCKSTARS, this name was given because the rockstars who are about to go extinct are about to revive, and that is the spirit behind this name. And, with these wonderful, precious members, that is what I wanna do. When you look at world as MIYAVI said, it is heading in a negative direction and this kind of rock band creates love, and diversity and peace – it’s a tool for this. So, we want to remember that feeling we felt as kids and pass it on to Generation Z and the kids in the world, what rock can do… So, this band is going to be playing that role, the perfect way to send that message, and we are still creating the video and the music.”

Just wait until you guys find out about Eagles of Death Metal…

I might be a bit biased but I take nothing that Sugizo says serious. I don’t like him and his attitude but that’s a me thing.

What is he even talking about here?

This band is doing nothing and especially not playing that role

As I said… let Sugizo talk … it’s as empty as what Yoshiki is saying

So yeah, my point that this is just a fancy name with no real meaning still stands.

I think hes talking about music vocational schools in japan. There are tons of schools like that. It’s like a 2nd high school diploma or something. Some music vocational schools teach ‘rock’ as a genre of music

I found 1 course that promises to teach you to play rock music on stage lol

I have to join your side… It’s a terrible song and Hyde even sounds terrible. The band name is really cringe when stuff like this is the best they can come up with, hate to say it. Damn.

And all of them having all those “sexy” shots and stares… Ugh
