My fast review is that the production of the PV is pretty cool and the instrumentals are good, the bridge is also good… BUT the actual chorus is just too weak. Mao normally has a really good sense for catchy melodies but this time it just didnt work in my opinion.
It has the some of the classic Mao screaming that always is good but the chorus ruins everything, and the other members shouting during it didn’t help much. It actually got a bit annoying after a while.

Damn I looked forward to this lets hope the other tracks are better!

I somewhat agree.

I think the song is sick. ~2:00 break down gives me Lynch vibes. But Mao’s voice is goddddd tierrrrrrr I think the chorus does not do him or the other parts of the song justice enough. Still AWESOME though. Seeing them create more music is beautiful. Mao is a living legend whose voice keeps improving?

嘆きの幸福 (Nageki no koufuku) 47:05 of this live made me a believer… I will create my own thread on this wonderful human. There are current living legends and bands we must support regardless!!! For they carry the truer torch of VK!!!

Just want to thank you for that, Nageki no Koufuku is one of the OG songs for me that I was into back in the days when VK peaked. Good old times!

You’re the best whoever you are.

This is a god-tier song with a god-tier performance. If there was a hall of fame for VK this would be in it.

Do you have any other recommendations my fellow respectable human? I respect your tastes now.

Also I would argue we can still be in those good times (Atleast through some gems that capture the past?)! I come from the American Rock music graveyard and the Japanese are truly still working on creating magic.. I want to support them all I can.

Sadie vibes from 2012: those moves and the crazy amount of effects in the video. the beginning of the song also reminds me of one of their songs. alas, it’s a weak work, but I’m glad to hear new material from them.

It’s good but thats it. Nothing mind blowing but not bad either. Mizuki’s kick moves are kinda awkward though. :sweat_smile:
