his lyrical songs on this are way better than his takes on marylin manson/lynch/zAnY sukekiyo styles; messy sound of the heavier songs doesn’t help at all, but the new spell is a mess tbh
last track is so beautiful and the look for this one is unreal.
I’ll miss that 30 sec side-project, it was fun for what it was, parking lot PVs and all that, but he seems to be full-on back to vk now.

Ugh this was such an improvement over the last release, it’s almost listenable!
If anyone knows better please lmk but i wouldn’t be surprised if this is tzk on the mix and master himself. Whatever the reason, it’s got a lot better, especially on the vocal treatment, but i still feel like there where we could use the most improvement…
songwriting hasn’t changed imho, it’s good here and was good on the last album just more buried, and was good in meji
I just would love to hear more reverb/delay on the voice - nothing noticeable even just kinda de-dry how it is, and watch the levels more carefully to keep it smooth and not jumpscares at different verses. The harshes are also played really straight as is - a bit of waveshaping distortion, EQ, and reverb can imho bring it closer to cool harshes rather than cartoon monster…
And i’d love to hear the guitars a bit more and the bass kinda a lot more.
Y’know, as long as i’m just rambling fantasy tangents anyway, y’all remember what Miya was able to do for mucc’s Aku? Rather than whatever’s called the official release? I’d love to hear what he could do with this project; imho he’s a great mix of heading towards technically competent but coming from a place of drama, storytelling, and personality first - landing him above Ryo imho in my tier list of vkei artists who mix
Anyway to take off my “trying to learn” critical hat and just be a fan, these ballads were so nice to hear, closest thing to Meji’s anemone i’ve heard in a long time, absolutely love it and hope to hear more!
