SID’s upcoming single 面影 (Omokage), which will come out on 2024.01.08, will be the opening theme for the japanese dubbed version of the chinese anime 天官賜福 貮 (Tenkan Tifuku Rin) which will start broadcasting the day before that. The song was created with the theme of “eternal love that transcends distance and transcends time,” and the lyrics were written by Mao (Vo) and the music was composed by Aki (B)

The Brow Beat’s “紡ぐ” has been made part of Osamu Tezuka’s “Black Jack” anime OST
This ain’t their 1st collab, tough, as back in 2022 they came up with some merch to celebrate the anime’s 50th anniversary

Sorry to bring back an almost 3-year-old post, but I just watched the movie and noticed another VK-related easter egg seconds before UnsraW’s: When explaining what happened, the protagonist mentions a blog called “Lunacy in the New World” and if you pay attention the logo used looks a lot like the one from when LUNA SEA was called Lunacy:

This year’s BEAT SHUFFLE team of 24 VK musicians for the sports race event they’ve been organizing since 1998 to promote the radio show. This year dudes from bands such as Arlequin, RAZOR, ENSOKU, NoGoD, Jin-Machine, vistlip, Vivarush, NOIZ, Baby Kingdom, The MADNA and more showed up. There’s a lot of vids of the event on their socials.

I saw this video today and I was deeply surprised to hear a mention of visual kei.
I was almost surreal to me, because I’m just so used to very few people in western or even Japanese culture even knowing what VK is.

The HYDE Memorial Gallery, located at the third floor entrance of Wakayama Castle in Wakayama City, where he was born and served as a hometown tourism ambassador for two years from January 30, 2019 to January 29, 2021, was renovated yesterday. It was designed under the direction of HYDE himself
Also, he partnered with a tech company called HOMiDO to release the Blu-ray and DVD of the final performance at Makuhari Messe “HYDE LIVE 2023”, which will be released on June 12, 2024 and a special package will be available that will allow you to enjoy a live performance using VR filming. The concert tour recordings have been edited to include previously unreleased tracks, as well as selected tracks from the Makuhari Messe performance

HYDE is collaborating with non-VK band MY FIRST STORY to perform the opening theme song “夢幻-Mugen-” (Dreams) for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc television anime. Broadcast starts this spring.

Beyond the aesthetic part, there’s little in common with actual vk.
I think the Chilean “Pokemón” were more involved with the punk and Japanese-y side of things. Again, also not really vk-related.
