Things about to become very rusty
I don’t think it’s Visual Kei in other media so much so as other media featuring one of the most important folks in the scene - esteemed veteran reporter Shoji Noriko, who continues to support the scene at a grand age of 91. Here’s a very recent video on her, and she interviewed Xanvala lol. I want to grow up to be her!!!

Diaura’s Kei is on the news! It’s a paid article unfortunately but it talks about his love for his hometown in the Aomori prefecture and how that influences his work

unfortunately he said he turned it down bc he didn’t want to look weird on tv (the 2nd part was in a quote retweet)
the translation is wrong, 断らなければよかった is “i shouldn’t have turned it down”
which is such a shame bc this TV show is pretty funny… they would’ve made him out to be a total weirdo.

This has absolutely nothing to do with vkei, but the “Kyamata Ojisan” guy who appeared several times on 月曜から夜ふかし is actually 山崎広太 - contemporary dancer who appeared in 80s indies rock scene.
Next, I’m going to post tweets from someone who genuinely knows the subject:
«At PARCO’s ‘Scattered Opera,’ LIBIDO performed together with 古舘徹夫. The entire floor was covered in white powder, making it look like a desert. What was funny was that 山崎広太 apologized out loud during the performance because the powder was getting all over the audience while he danced.
At Studio 200’s ‘NEUE DANZ,’ they performed with 山海塾’s 岩下徹. A drunk audience member threw a can of beer, 古舘 threw it back, the audience member went wild, and the staff had to forcibly remove him while restraining him. Meanwhile, 山崎 and 岩下 were smiling and waving as part of the choreography, which was hilarious.»

didnt they show him teaching dancing or something on the show? Kyamata has replaced the word Kamata in my household’s vocabulary, though. it’s so fun to say 
As far as I remember, no…. They were just losing it over how many times he said “KYAMATA”… 
(Thanks to 月曜から夜ふかし, my family stopped calling 焼売 “shuumai,” and now we say “yakiuri” instead 
Sometimes at the supermarket one of us goes “let’s buy some yakiuri for dinner!” and I swear people around us look at us like we’re idiots.)

A lot of people are surprised, but Hazuki is going to the US to compete in EVO! He’s laid out very clearly what is expected for fan interactions: official appearances that are announced are off limits, while interactions on his own private time and discretion is ok.
I know he’s been playing Street Fighter 6 for a while since he often talks to Utahiroba Jun about it. Jun is also one of the top ranked players globally iirc? Someone can confirm if they’re able to get to that earlier as I’m afk.
Btw, Gaku from Fest Vainqueur is a Juri main, and Kouryu from Razor probably mains Jamie from what I’ve seen.
