Most people dropped out I think. I honestly don’t think we’ll get more than 3 people. Should we just extend the time or give up? I really don’t think extending it for another few weeks or month would be a bad idea since it doesn’t seem like this can happen at the moment.

Id say extend it until you have enough people for a contest. It’s nothing crazy prob until you have at least have 5 people or something. Then again idk if there is a list put together on who is participating and who will be ready for this round. This could also help with keeping track. Maybe make a Google sheet or something

Extendo pls for the peeps, even though I am not participating give it one more try. I would go at it but i have no proper mic for recording😢
I know I said earlier we could keep the deadline but seeing how many have to drop out now, we should probably take a bit more time 
Like mentioned above, maybe make a new list with who is still on board and so on
Maybe we could also add something where we can kinda state what we used for recording, so that the ones that have no propper equipment (but at least something that makes it listenable) won’t have to feel too pressured in comparison to the ones with half a studio at home?

My vote to extend time. More entries, more people, more fun.
I think equipment isn’t that important. It Has to be fun. There is no need to learn music production to make 2 covers to join forum contest. Just try your best at recording and have fun

Yeah it doesn’t have to be a super stellar performance etiher. Most of us aren’t going to sound like Kyo from Dir en Grey, but I can understand there are many reasons why people need more time.
Who would like to stay in if given another month or two? Or who would like to join who hasn’t entered yet?

One more month might be good. What about making a new thread? Is that too much?
Yes, those where exactly my thoughts! I just saw a couple of people wanting to join but not doing it because of the equipment, so I thought maybe adding something like “recorded on a phone” for example would take the hesitation a bit, in the end I also don’t feel like it’s that important
For the thread, we could probably keep this one so everyone can look trough a bit easier, just maybe update the new deadline in the first post.

What we did was a one time gig on that thread, you me and gin Ofc and I’m glad you chimed in, like so glad I was just joking about the karaoke at that time but again thank you.
Yeah I agree with all that lol. We can keep the thread and maybe I can update the original post to add any missing context. What do you think would be a good deadline this time? (Anyone can answer this)

Hmm… since the ones that still need time don’t seem to have an opinion on this I’d just say we could call it a day and close it or say this Sunday(25.02) could the last day to give something in? Just so that this won’t get dragged out without anyone actually needing more time and those who made it losing interest

I’m gonna send my entry. It’s not perfect but you know, it doesn’t need to be perfect
i got mine sent in! only one track - i did one of my favourite ナイトメア tracks, but one i thought no one else would do. It’s got some fun intervals and a parallel mode change at the end, that’s why i like it… wonder if that description gives away which of their songs it is?

i’ve got on my voice some compression, EQs, delay, reverb, and waveshaping - but zero pitch correciton. which is very strange for me lol.

I’ll be working on mine this weekend, finally. I’ve got two tunes I’m overly confident about, so we’ll see.
That being said, is it explicitly just visual-kei? Can I do an enka tune?
