I’ve been trying to work on an album for years and keep running into lack of drive, so i’m looking to you guys for inspiration as a fellow amateur musician.
Hopefully i will have it done by my soft deadline of september 10th (the release date of vulgar hehehe)
Maybe even find someone to collab with.
Also looking for an artist to do the album cover for me
i was surprised by the quality of the first! makes me very curious how you feel about the mix/master of The Insulated World, bc (hope this comes off as a compliment lol) your mix reminds me of a mix of that and Corkscrew kuroyume / the Piass. i mean the guitars are fuzzed to hell and back but the mix acts like it; it works.
if you’re looking for critique/direction, i think your voice could benefit highly from XLN Audio’s RC-20. ignore the ‘retro’ marketing; it’s waveshaping for vocals and i slap that shit on everything. it’s my digital cheat towards approximating the analog sound of tubes, as though i’d run my voice through them, with warmth and bite than can be pushed into buzzing overdrive.
sales pitch for a company that doesn’t sponsor me aside, your track doesn’t strike me as not ready for relase. refinement maybe? but you’re clearly onto something, would love to watch your discog develop.
I like your sound too its calm. I’ll check out the RC20 stuff i like the quality.
I’m not so good at playing guitar where even the simple riffs on my stuff i have to chop and record in pieces so after i stop dragging my feet and put a full album out where i did everything myself (its a goal to myself to create it without outside help) i wanna collab more with others
I love when it shines through the mix like that without being too overbearing.
Also this song/demo was pretty baller, especially the final chorus. I can’t put my finger on who exactly it reminds me of but this shit def gives me “modern” VK vibes.
Im glad yall like it, its a lot louder compared to my other songs but if theres one thing japanese metal has taught me, especially takeshi ueda, is that bass is muuuuch more than just some background bullshit, you gotta crank it up
